True if you can be bothered to wade through 14+ pages of google results
and for a couple of quid some people can't be bothered to look. I'm
providing a service which some people may consider worthwhile same as
everybody else, to contribute to running costs of electricity and
equipment; if you don't need this, then I'm really happy for you :-)

If these are Apple service manuals that you have downloaded ISTR that Apple
place a copyright on all of their web material that says its free to download
but not to resell? That being the case its not actually yours to sell - bit
like trying to sell photocopies of books or warez

Doesn't Apple pull the plug on anybody redistributing service manuals,
even free?

At £2 a pop, I'm hardly going to be ordering a holiday home in the
Bahamas just yet - if you like, the manual's are free, but you need a £2
subscription to access my equipment...happy now?

If it offends the majority, then I'll remove the login and next time you
need some service info then buy a CD from eBay for minimum of a tenner
or take it into an Applecentre and have your plastic handy :-(

..ain't that the truth ;-) I thought U.A.C.M was relatively dog free
until now....

...there seems to be plenty of CDs around on eBay....but I can't be
bothered any more so I've closed the link out.

Sorry folks, you'll have to Google your own manuals....

Unless you've made the appropriate arrangements (which I know don't
exist, so you can't have) you'll be in breach of copyright by selling
these documents.

Whether or not to chase people who breach copyright is up to Apple --
there appear to be plenty of people selling all sorts of manuals on the
net.

Probably a semsible decision. Apple have been known to come down like
a ton of bricks on people who so much as post links to the service
manuals. That's why sites with links move so often.

That's why a link site mentioned higher up is in NL - to get away from
Apple's threatening lawyers who wrote nasty letters to US ISPs.

And normal practice is not to post such URLs on UseNet. Knowing how
retentive iJobs can be, he probably employs people to search UseNet
for naughty URLs.

If anyone wants a service manual - bearing in mind that they are
module-level, not component level, so no schematics, module
trouble-shooting stuff etc etc, email me at stuartsmacs dot dsl dot
pipex dot com for a URL for the manual you want. And to prove you're
not a Jobsian hench-person, explain the rules of cricket in your
request. (Only joking)
