Difference between decking oil and furniture oil?

Hi folks,

Does anybody know what the practical differences are between decking oil and
(softwood) garden furniture oil?
I find it a bit of a mine field trying to compare different makes
(sadolin/ronseal/cuprinol etc.). All in all, the decking oil seems to be
considerably cheaper than the furniture oil - but can it be used on
furniture safely, or will it perhaps stain clothes or that sort of thing?

Anybody tried decking oil on softwood garden furniture?

Yes it can but beware most decking oil often contains stain and you dont want this on furniture.
In fact you can use any oil including olive oil but this takes a while to dry. Teak oil is the best and hence price as it is thinner and gets deeper into the wood.
For good price you can get 5litres ( a lot) of Barotine teak furniture oil for under £30 and it keeps for years.
