Welcome to the FDM Working Group!
This group is working towards a Foundation Data Model, a part of the Information Management Framework for the UK National Digital Twin. 
This activity is part of the Commons Stream, and the Roadmap shows how this fits into the rest of the National Digital Twin Programme.
The idea for a National Digital Twin arose from the National Infrastructure Commission's report "Data for the public good". This resulted in setting up a Digital Framework Task Group to establish a Digital Framework, or Information Management Framework that would enable such a National Digital Twin. Early deliverables from the Task Group include:
  • The Gemini Principles, which sets out the principles that should guide a National Digital Twin and the Information Management Framework that enables it, and
  • Flourishing Systems, which sets out a vision of how National Infrastructure could become a system of systems by design to serve citizens.
  • The Pathway towards an Information Management Framework, sets out what the Information Management Framework is and an outline plan to deliver an initial Information Management Framework that can be expanded and built on.
