London, United Kingdom –

Prime Minister and Labour leader Andy Burnham is
expected to soon approve a ban on goods linked to
Israeli settlements after the Israeli government
issued tenders to build more than 1,200 units for
a settlement in the occupied West Bank called E1.
“Sanctions on Israel’s illegal settlements would
be a very welcome first step in helping to bring
an end to Israel’s unlawful occupation,” Labour
lawmaker Richard Burgon told Al Jazeera on
Thursday. “The International Court of Justice has
been clear that all states have obligations to
bring that unlawful situation to an end.

Secretary Ed Miliband said on Tuesday that the UK
would “reset” its Israel policy in the coming
weeks, while one of his ministers suggested that
goods produced in Israeli settlements within the
Palestinian West Bank could face targeted
sanctions. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Andy Burnham
warned that Israeli choices regarding a
controversial settlement risk bringing an “end”
to the prospect of a two-state solution with
Palestine. Violence and land and water seizures
by militant Jewish settlers in ?the West Bank
have risen during the nearly three years since
the Hamas-led October 7 attacks on Israel. Mr
Miliband’s Israeli counterpart Gideon Saar said
his country’s government was likely to act in

making a big mistake,” the Israeli foreign
minister told a Hebrew language news site.

Despite pledge after pledge that he would not do

by-election could be make or break for Zack
Polanski The bombshell by-election in Keir
Starmer’s old seat could be “make or break” for
the Green leader Zack Polanski, polling experts
have claimed. The former PM announced he was
standing down this week, just months after
leaving Downing Street. Speaking to this
newspaper, pollsters explained Labour were still
the favourites for the Holborn and St Pancras
seat, and that the “shine” had come off Mr
Polanski with voters. Polling guru Sir John
Curtice said: “Polanski obviously made quite a
name for himself, but his personal popularity
isn’t quite what it was, and hasn’t been since
the Golders Green incident. This looks at least
as tough a gig for Polanski, if he stands, as
Makerfield looked for Burnham. “The difference is
that Burnham could always hope to and did succeed
in persuading people who might otherwise vote
Green, Lib Dem or even Tory to vote Labour to
keep Reform out. Those kind of dynamics are not
really available to Polanski as he’s the
extremist in this instance, rather than the person in the centre.

John Langley joins Tony and Martin online. He
discusses his article ‘Where Bristol City Council
Money Goes’ from his blog The Almighty
Gob. Goram Homes failure to build any council
housing in Bristol – failures of their various
schemes. Picture the room. A committee chamber,
half past six on a Tuesday, strip lighting doing
its best against the dark outside. Papers stacked
in the wrong order. Screens showing agenda item
numbers, not the numbers that matter. Now.
Somewhere in that quiet, procedural room, Bristol
City Council public money keeps disappearing into
the same holes, and nobody in the room asks the
same question twice.
case studies first. Then the money, followed all
the way into the boardroom itself. Keep reading.
The shape underneath doesn’t finish revealing
itself until the very end. Hole One: Goram Homes.
Set up in 2018 to build housing and capture land
value for the council instead of a private
developer. That was the pitch. The company’s sole
shareholder is Bristol Holding Limited, wholly
owned by Bristol City Council. The accounts tell
it straight: net worth down from -£820,000 in
2020 to more than -£4 million by 2024, on top of
land loan notes exceeding £10 million. A
councillor read the 2023 business plan and worked
out, correctly, that there had been no
completions at all. That same report was
accidentally published in full before being
redacted. Named after a Bristol giant who
overheated, got drunk, and fell asleep mid-race.
Somebody in branding read half the legend.
Promised value capture. Delivered a widening
deficit. Told nobody until a councillor did the
sums. Hole Two: Bristol Energy. Goram wasn’t the
first time this shape appeared. Bristol Energy
got there first, launched in 2015 to turn a
profit for the council and cut resident bills.
Managed neither. Total losses reached as much as
£43.8 million before the company was broken up
and sold off in 2020. The council’s own Grant
Thornton report later found the founding decision
was never properly scrutinised. A genuine exit
existed in 2017, at a cost of £19.8 million. The
council chose not to take it the Lost Pause.
The final bill more than doubled instead. When
opposition councillors demanded an independent
inquiry afterwards, the ruling group voted it
down. Ask yourself why a council votes against
finding out what its own company cost. Promised
profit and lower bills. Delivered a £43.8 million
loss. Told nobody until the loss had already
doubled. Hole Three: Bristol Waste. Literally!
This one isn’t a financial modelling failure.
It’s a live police investigation. Allegations
dating to 2020, still under investigation, that
staff took payments to misreport waste volumes at
the Avonmouth depot. Alongside it: a director
expenses scandal of four-figure hotel bills and
premium spirits, and five managing directors gone
in under four years. On top of that, a loan book
that grew to a further £12.12 million facility
approved in June 2026 none of the loan term,
interest rate, or repayment profile shown to the
committee that approved it. Notice the timing.
Bristol always seems to find it. Promised an
efficient statutory service. Delivered a fraud
investigation. Told nobody until the police got
there first. Hole Four: Temple Island. Not a
company this time. A 250-year lease with Legal &
General, and the one the council never gets to call misjudged by accident.

Housing built more in inappropriate areas. Block
of flats teetering on edge of river bank after
huge landslip underneath building Pictures taken
on Wednesday morning show the landslip on the
south bank of the River Avon in Bristol, which
pushed small trees and bushes down towards the
river and exposed cables at the new flat block
The owners of a new tower block are trying to
reassure residents that its foundations are fine,
despite a huge landslip last week.
for both Clarion House and Bristol City Council
are checking out the situation on the south bank
of the River Avon, in Bristol where the riverbank
showed signs of collapsing. It is right next to
the site of The Boat Yard – a huge and still not
finished tower block development currently taking
shape in the Totterdown area. Pictures by Bristol
Live photographer Paul Gillis, taken on Wednesday
morning, showed the landslip on the south bank of
the River Avon. It took small trees and bushes
down towards the river, and exposed cables that
had been underground right next to The Boat Yard.
The development includes a main tower block
that’s 15 storeys high from road level and 17
storeys high from the level of the bank of the
River Avon, but the images appeared to show the
river bank eroded and is now beginning to erode
under the building itself. Temporary fencing
along that river bank has also fallen with the
erosion, and in other parts of the river bank, a
large crack has appeared around a bush that seems
to indicate more of the river bank could erode
soon. But a spokesperson for Clarion Housing
Association, the London-based housing association
which took over the site in 2020, said there was
nothing to worry about. “We are aware of the
issue at Totterdown Bridge and have taken prompt
action to investigate further, with an engineer
having already attended the site as a precaution.
The building is not reliant on the river bank for
any of its stability, and the engineer has
confirmed that our site is not affected by the
bank’s recent movement,” they added. Local
residents reported the landslip to Bristol City
Council, who confirmed they would be inspecting
the site today, although a tweet response from
the council appeared to suggest its only concern
was the nearby Totterdown Bridge. “We are aware
of the situation and are sending a bridge
inspector to the site today to carry out an
inspection and assess any risk to the highway,”
the tweet said. The original developers, the
Hadley Property Group, obtained planning
permission and then sold the site as it was being
constructed to London-based housing association
Clarion, who will be turning it into a
development that’s classified as 100 per cent
‘affordable housing’ in planning terms. Work
building the tower block complex stopped last
summer when the original construction company The
Mid Group went bust last summer, and there were
months with no activity until a new firm was
found to finish the building. New construction
firm the Hill Group took on the site in October
2022, but Clarion confirmed the flats would not
be available to move into until at least the end
of 2023, possibly into 2024 because, while the
buildings themselves appear finished, the
innovative construction method means there is still a lot of work to do inside.

ITV being bought by Comcast. ITV News to remain
distinct from Sky News up to ‘at least’ 2030
following merger Sky takes ownership of ITV
national and regional TV news. Sky’s takeover of
ITV’s media and entertainment business for £1.6bn
will make it responsible for commissioning ITV
News. The deal sees Sky buying ITV News, ITV’s
free-to-air channels in the UK and the ITVX
streaming platform, with ITV Studios left out of
the acquisition and becoming a standalone
business.
will inherit ITV’s Public Service Broadcasting
(PBS) obligations that run until 2034, which
require the broadcaster to provide ‘impartial’
national and regional news. Sky has promised that
ITV News and Sky News will maintain “distinct
editorial identities” until at least 2030. ITV’s
current five-year contract with ITN, which
produces national news bulletins at 1.30pm,
6.30pm and 10pm on ITV1, Good Morning Britain and
London regional news, runs until the end of 2030
and contains no break clause, meaning Sky would
inherit the agreement if the acquisition
completes as planned in the second half of 2027.
Other regional news ITV bulletins are produced by
ITV itself. The transaction will see ITV’s
existing 40% shareholding in ITN split equally
between Sky and the newly independent ITV
Studios. Existing shareholders Reuters, DMG and
Informa will each retain their 20% stakes. ITN
also produces news for Channel 4 and Channel 5.
An ITN spokesperson said that the “unique model”
of “four editorially independent national
newsrooms under one roof” – also including Good
Morning Britain – contributes to the “strength of
the UK’s news ecosystem”. The takeover will
result in the two businesses merging to become
the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, with Sky
group CEO Dana Strong saying this means a 6.5%
combined share of the total UK advertising
market, according to Deadline. Sky has also
identified around £200m in annual cost savings
that would be delivered by the end of the third
year after the deal closed. The company said that
most of the cost cuts would be made through
efficiencies in marketing, technology platforms
and non-UK content. Strong has noted a “minority”
of the savings from job cuts will come from
reducing duplication “primarily in corporate and
commercial functions”. Sky employs around 20,000
staff in the UK, while ITV has about 2,400
workers in the media and entertainment division.
The news also follows Sky owner Comcast saying
last month it plans to spin off its media
operation into a separate publicly listed
company, according to NBC News, which includes
Sky and US film studio NBCUniversal. On Sky
becoming part of NBCUniversal, Strong said: “We
have a shared cultural heritage, NBC and Sky.
We’ve both been passionate about bringing sports
and entertainment events to consumers. “We have a
very strong partnership where we’ve already been
working on key content together, so some of our
biggest shows, like The Day of the Jackal and SNL
UK, were all done in a co-production environment with NBC.”

More than 120,000 people – around one quarter of

their own rising costs. “There are rogue
landlords who this bill was directed to but
they’re the ones who aren’t going to comply
anyway,” said Jo Hunt, who has rented property in
Bristol for 30 years. “I think more and more will
leave now. It’s all going to mean extra costs,
some of which will be passed on to tenants which
is going to make the problem worse for them.”
Lettings agents say that will make their job of
placing people in property even harder. Aaron
Messenger of Greenwoods Property Centre says one
in three renters he’s trying to place for is due
to landlords taking back their homes to live in
themselves or to sell up. “That stock level is
probably the biggest issue,” he added. “When
you’ve got the amount of people looking if I had
100 one-beds to rent out, they would all be
rented out in a two-week period.” The Green
Party-led Bristol City Council advocates for rent
caps, limits on how much landlords can charge for
rent or how much they can increase rent during a
tenancy. But that needs central government
approval and so far there seems little appetite.
Cllr Barry Parsons, chair of the city council’s
homes and housing delivery committee told us:
“you have energy capped by the government and
housing is just as essential. It’s really
important that we can make a meaningful change
there and prevent the spiral of rents that we’ve
seen in the last few years.” The council has also
committed to building more homes for social rent
– half the market rent value – but demand far
exceeds supply. Shared ownership – buying part of
a home and renting the rest – and co-living
developments are increasing in popularity but
many believe it will take years to make a
significant impact on the rental market.

Paul Burgess on CO2 and climate change. From

whole is an information pack to expose the

taking place and screenings of a secret ‘Climate

have to be 16 years or older to attend. But don’t
worry, a counselor is on hand to cope with
distressed people. It’s a control meeting in
every way. It’s pure scops. Recently, something
was brought to my attention and it’s called the
people’s emergency briefing. And I tried to find
the video. It’s a 50-minute video that’s being
shown in halls and village halls and meetings all
over the country. And it’s actually um a video of
climate alarmism in the most extreme manner. And
so as as mentioned already um you have to be 16
and over to be there. Um it has to be a very
controlled environment with uh the people showing
it will have been briefed how to train the
discussion afterwards um and so on and and it’s
just ridiculous. It it’s so extreme and bad that
I thought I can counter it but I couldn’t get
hold of the video. So what I could get hold of
was the previous videos from the different
speakers and isolate their points so I know what
this is being said in the video.

Burnham’s first PMQs: here’s what we learned from
this bloodless affair For Andy Burnham, walking
into the bear pit that is Prime Minister’s
Questions, it must have been hard to stay calm.
His audience was a room of closely packed MPs,
some hostile, some friendly – all very loud –
many wanting to make a mark. And the full
audience for PMQs extends far beyond the MPs in
the
chamber.<https://theconversation.com/andy-burnhams-first-pmqs-heres-what-we-learned-from-this-bloodless-affair-291084>
Prime ministers are thinking about the media,
external groups, foreign governments, voters and
financial markets. The reactions of any of these
matter. The PM has the dual worry of dealing with
opposition questions while also demonstrating his
or her worth to the party members sitting behind
them. Backbenchers can signal a lack of
confidence through quietness or just not turning
up. It is no wonder that preparing for PMQs is,
in itself, demanding. Alastair Campbell, who
advised Tony Blair when he was opposition leader
and in the early days of the New Labour
government, is clear about just what it took.
Preparation can take hours. Nerves don’t
disappear. And it doesn’t appear to have got any
easier in recent years. Burnham is, of course,
new to this. And unlike many in his position, he
hasn’t had a chance to rehearse as opposition
leader. He was wise to spend part of Tuesday’s
return to parliament on a statement and a lengthy
question-and-answer session. It gave him a
warm-up for the main event. After Keir Starmer
was ousted as prime minister, Labour MPs will be
willing Burnham to show that he can succeed. So
how did he do in his first PMQs, and what can we
glean from it? This was not a “full-blooded”
PMQs. Burham chose not to mount attacks where
others might have. A question from Reform UK’s
Danny Kruger, for example, could have led to a
reply focusing on the party’s reported problems.
That it did not, may mean Burnham wants to move
away from such attacks – or that he considers
Reform less significant than it has been in
recent years. Burnham’s jibes at the Conservatives were not fierce either….

Bad week for Zelensky 1: RT & BBC reporting on
SBU, GUR gunfight in Kiev. Ukraine’s SBU accuses
Russian Volunteer Corps deputy commander Stepan
Kaplunov of working for the FSB and plotting an
Independence Day assassination. He says he was
tortured into confessing. September 3, 2026, 9:19
pm Source: SBU Stepan Kaplunov, the deputy
commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps, was in
contact with Russian security services and was
tasked with preparing an assassination attempt
against one of the leaders of Russia’s opposition
movement who planned to travel to Ukraine,
Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said.
<https://meduza.io/en/news/2026/09/03/ukraine-s-sbu-accuses-russian-volunteer-corps-deputy-commander-stepan-kaplunov-of-working-for-the-fsb-and-plotting-an-independence-day-assassination-he-says-he-was-tortured-into-confessing>The
SBU said the attempt was planned for August 24,
Ukraine’s Independence Day, and was foiled. The
SBU did not name the intended target, but sources
cited by the Ukrainian outlets Suspilne (the
country’s public broadcaster) and Babel
identified him as Akhmed Zakayev, a former
Chechen field commander. In a video released by
the SBU, Kaplunov says: “I was approached by an
individual from the territory of the Russian
Federation who was acting in the interests of the
Federal Security Service (FSB) with the goal of
recruiting me to take active steps to eliminate
fighters of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and other
individuals.” The SBU also said it found messages
between Kaplunov and an FSB representative on
Kaplunov’s phone. Because Kaplunov admitted to
the contacts and cooperated with the
investigation, the agency said, he was not placed
under any pretrial restrictions. The Russian
Volunteer Corps, meanwhile, published its own
video of an official statement by Kaplunov. In
it, he says he was “abducted in gangster fashion”
by SBU officers on August 23 and subjected to
“physical and psychological pressure.” Kaplunov’s
lawyer, Taras Borovsky, told the Ukrainian outlet
Ukrainska Pravda that the confession video
released by the SBU was filmed “in captivity,
under pressure, through torture and death
threats.” Borovsky said the agency released it
now to “whitewash the SBU’s reputation” after its
shootout the previous day with the Main
Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense
Ministry (GUR). SBU officers and GUR personnel
exchanged gunfire in Kyiv on September 2. The SBU
said its officers were carrying out “urgent
investigative measures” when “a group of people”
attacked them during a search and tried to
obstruct the investigation. The investigation was connected to Kaplunov.

workers destroy army recruitment vehicle in
expanding protests against “busification”
Ukrainian workers intervened to interrupt a
document check being carried out by two service
members of the Territorial Recruitment Center
(TRC) responsible for the forced mobilization or
“busification” of tens of thousands of Ukrainian
men off the streets of Ukraine. According to
Suspilne news, TRC officers stopped a vehicle at
a checkpoint in the western Ukrainian city of
Lutsk and demanded to view the male driver’s
documents. The man refused to provide any
personal information and instead abandoned his
vehicle and fled the scene to avoid ending up in
the Ukrainian Armed Forces unwillingly. The TRC
officers followed the man towards a residential
building in their official vehicle at which point
they were confronted by 30 Ukrainian workers
opposed to another apparent case of
government-sanctioned kidnapping. Daria
Stelmaschuk, spokesperson for the Volyn Regional
Territorial Recruitment and Social Support
Center, stated, “After that, 30 civilians
approached the scene and began physically
resisting the police officers and service members
of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support
Center, striking them with their hands and
unidentified objects.” Both officers were injured
in the protest, and their TRC vehicle was
essentially destroyed by the crowd. According to
the report: All the windows and headlights were
smashed. All the tires were damaged. A radio was
stolen. A body camera was taken. The vehicle keys
were stolen. Just a day later, a 25-year-old man
stabbed a TRC officer to death after being
stopped and refusing to show his military
registration documents. Both photos and summary
of the case can be found on the website of
Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office and video
of TRC officers beating the suspect appeared on social media.

Bad week for Zelensky 3: Ukraine Stored Ammo Next
to Civilian Homes Twice in Six Weeks! Russians
destroy massive Ukrainian arms dump in a
residential area of Kiev Sixty Dead Sixty people
have died in two incidents six weeks apart in
which Ukraine’s military and state-owned
companies stored large quantities of ammunition
in civilian warehouses or depots embedded in
residential areas near Kyiv, and a criminal probe
into the second and deadlier disaster found the
same failure the first investigation documented:
explosives placed beside people’s homes without
their knowledge, in violation of the country’s
own safety standards.
responded to the pattern on Sunday by announcing
preparations for “massive strikes” on Ukraine’s
energy infrastructure before winter, escalating a
conflict in which infrastructure has become the
defining battleground on both sides of the front
line. On the evening of August 28, a Russian
Geran-4 jet-powered drone struck a warehouse in
Myla, a village in the Bucha district
approximately 5 kilometers (3 miles) west of
central Kyiv along the Kyiv-Chop highway. The
drone hit at approximately 8:10 p.m. local time,
triggering a fire that set off a chain of
secondary explosions lasting hours as stored
ordnance cooked off the physics of ammunition
in an uncontrolled fire, in which heat ignites
successive munitions in a chain reaction that no
suppression equipment can easily stop. The death
toll climbed to 38, with four people still
missing and 20 injured including two children
according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr
Zelenskyy. A care home for elderly residents and
people living with disabilities was among the
dozens of structures damaged. More than 300
emergency services personnel were dispatched to
the site, and 381 residents were evacuated from
the surrounding area. It was the war’s deadliest
single attack of 2026, surpassing the 31 killed
in a July 2 strike on Kyiv that had previously
held that grim record. What Residents Were Never
Told The warehouse, Ukrainian officials
confirmed, stored shells, mines, other munitions,
and drones weapons that Ukraine’s Prosecutor
General described as “explosive objects and
materials.” Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed a
different contents inventory drone components
and launch boosters for long-range aircraft a
claim that has not been independently verified.
The residents of Myla knew none of this. One
resident, Oleksandr, told reporters that
villagers had no idea what was stored in the
warehouse. “Nobody told us anything… People
aren’t informed,” he said. Another resident,
Borys Daniyluk, 61, asked why munitions had been
placed in what had formerly been a food storage
facility. “Why was this allowed at the depots, in
a place where there used to be food? Why were
ammunition and weapons stored there, next to a
populated village?” Another villager, Liudmyla,
offered a double answer when pressed on
responsibility: “Putin! Who else? And those who set up the depot here.”

Polish drone plant fire “undoubtedly” arson and
likely ordered by Russia, says Tusk There is now
“no doubt” that a fire this week at a drone
factory in Poland was caused deliberately, says
Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who also suggested it
was carried out on behalf of Russia. Speaking
ahead of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Tusk
noted that there had been “some very disturbing
incidents and events in Poland and Germany over
the past few [days]”.
is a continuation of Russia’s escalatory actions
throughout the region,” he continued.
“Unfortunately, these are not the first cases
and, even worse, they certainly won’t be the
last.” On Sunday, a fire broke out at a
production facility in the Polish city of Lublin
belonging to JFG Composites, a company that
produces components for the aerospace industry,
including for military helicopters. Then, in the
early hours of Monday morning, another fire
occurred at a plant in Skarzysko-Kamienna,
south-central Poland, belonging to WB
Electronics, a Polish firm that is the largest
producer of drones in the European Union. It
supplies the armed forces of Ukraine and Poland,
among others. By Monday afternoon, Polish
prosecutors and the security services had
confirmed that they were investigating the
Skarzysko-Kamienna fire as a potential “crime of
a terrorist nature” carried out with the
involvement of “foreign intelligence”. On
Tuesday, improvised explosive devices were found
at one electricity substation in Germany near the
border with Poland while another substation in
the west of the country was attacked. That came
on the same day that Germany announced it held
Russia responsible for a drone attack on Leipzig
airport last month. In his remarks on Wednesday,
Tusk said that “there is no doubt” that the
incident in Skarzysko-Kamienna “was deliberate
arson, meaning an act of sabotage”. “In the case
of Lublin, we do not have such evidence but,
considering the nature of the production, it
cannot be ruled out that deliberate arson
occurred there as well,” he added. “I am in
constant contact with the leaders of the
countries in our region, and everyone realises
that the coming weeks and months will be
critical, not only in terms of events on the
front and the entire Russian-Ukrainian war,”
continued the prime minister. “These weeks and
months will also pose a very, very significant
challenge for all countries in this part of
Europe, precisely because of Russia’s plans to
escalate tensions and destabilise.” On Tuesday, a
deputy interior minister, Czeslaw Mroczek, told
broadcaster RMF that surveillance cameras had
recorded a masked person entering the WB
Electronics plant in Skarzysko-Kamienna. He said
it was “obvious” that Russian involvement was
suspected, pointing to previous similar cases in
which agents working on behalf of Russia have
carried out acts of sabotage in Poland. A report
by the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism
published earlier this year found that Poland is
the “primary focus” of Russia’s growing campaign
of sabotage in Europe. Last year, Poland
confirmed that Russia was behind the fire that in
2024 destroyed Warsaw’s largest shopping centre.
The Polish authorities are also seeking to detain
two men believed to have sabotaged a rail line last year on Russian orders.

blames Russia for drone attack at Leipzig airport
Government says ‘dangerous behaviour’ is part of
effort by Moscow to cause damage with hybrid
attacks The German government has blamed Russia
for the drone attack on Leipzig airport last
month, calling it “dangerous behaviour” and part
of a systematic and concerted effort by Moscow to
“cause great damage” through a large number of
hybrid attacks.
interior minister, Alexander Dobrindt, and the
foreign minister, Johann Wadephul, ended weeks of
speculation and the government’s hesitancy to
blame Russia, saying in a brisk 10-minute
briefing in Berlin that all indications were the
Russian state had provided the knowhow and
equipment for the planned attack and “low-level
agents” were recruited to carry it out. A drone
loaded with explosives was discovered at
Leipzig/Halle airport on 4 August near a
Ukrainian Antonov cargo plane used to transport
weapons to Ukraine. It failed to detonate but
could have caused a catastrophe, authorities
said. Russia will face a package of penalty
measures, Wadephul said, adding that the German
government saw “a need for appropriate and
necessary action in this situation”. It would
respond “to this hybrid attack in Leipzig with
proportionate and measured, yet equally resolute,
action”, he said. “We are not at war, but we are
a daily target of hybrid warfare.” He added: “The
dangerous behaviour of the Russian Federation is
part of attempts at destabilisation,
disinformation, threats, sabotage and
aggression.” Berlin regretted the abysmal state
of its relations with Moscow, he said. The EU
expressed “full solidarity” with Germany over the
attack, and Nato assured Berlin that it would
defend its members. The French president,
Emmanuel Macron, supported Germany’s move and the
new round of European sanctions, saying: “These
hybrid attacks are multiplying in Europe. They
cannot go unanswered. “In the face of this
escalation, we must be united, determined, and
strengthen our support for Ukraine. France will
continue to play its full part.” Giorgia Meloni,
Italy’s prime minister, said: “The security of
our allies is the security of us all. Attempts to
intimidate us or to drive a wedge between allies
will not succeed: hybrid actions against any one
of us are a matter of concern for all of us, and
will be met with a united response.”

Lavrov. Steve Jermy – policies not keeping people
safe. Good Money After Bad, Ukraine Has Lost!
Cdre Steve Jermy. John Healey Shelves His Own
Defence Target UK Chancellor John Healey will
officially delay his own target of increasing
Britain’s defence spending to 3% of GDP by 2030
in his upcoming October 28 budget.
fiscal reversal has drawn sharp criticism across
UK media, particularly on platforms like GB News,
where military commentators such as retired Royal
Navy Commander Steve Jermy and other analysts
have flagged the move as a major policy
contradiction.Context of the ControversyThe
Resignation: In June 2026, Healey dramatically
resigned as Defence Secretary under Prime
Minister Keir Starmer. He stepped down on
principle, publicly reprimanding the
administration for failing to commit to the 3%
target to counter rising international threats.
The Promotion: Following a subsequent leadership
collapse that saw Starmer replaced by Andy
Burnham, Healey was appointed Chancellor of the
Exchequer in July 2026. Defence advocates
expected his Treasury takeover to guarantee
robust military funding.The U-Turn: Instead,
citing a £5 billion equipment funding shortfall
inherited from the previous administration,
Healey’s first budget will prioritize patching
existing financial gaps rather than expanding the
defense baseline. Decisions regarding the
timeline for the 3% GDP target have been kicked
down the road to next year’s Treasury spending
review. Chancellor John Healey has insisted he is
“100 per cent” committed to defence after
delaying his own three per cent of GDP target.
The former Defence Secretary, who dramatically
resigned from Sir Keir Starmer’s Cabinet after
the then-Prime Minister refused to commit to a
three per cent target by 2030, has shot down
allegations of hypocrisy as he visited the US for
a meeting with foreign counterparts. Mr Healey’s
first budget is set for October 28 – but the
defence commitments will not be set until next
year’s spending review. He has, however, warned
that filling a £5billion funding hole would force
the Government to make “difficult decisions” in
next month’s budget. The Chancellor admitted that
his new position on Andy Burnham’s frontbench was
a “bigger job”, but insisted defence was central
to next year’s spending review. “For the first
time at the spending review, we will set out a
clear path about how we will meet that Nato
commitment in 2035: 3.5 per cent of GDP,” he told
The Times. Britain has come under increased
pressure from the US to spend more on defence
amid global conflicts, namely the Iran war and
Russian invasion of Ukraine. Washington has
called for Europe and Canada to take increase
spending and take further responsibility for
defending the European continent in a plan dubbed
“Nato 3.0” Donald Trump is now reviewing his
position on the Falkland Islands as a way of
“encouraging the sort of burden-sharing that we seek”.

Albbright.<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1T0pSx7SJLk>
I think Warren Christopher was lukewarm. Uh but
then you had Sandy Burgerer and Strobe Talbot,
the deputy secretary of defense. And of course,
General Clark was friends with all of these
people and they were all of a similar ideological
mindset that this was the beginning of something
very big. And what I was going to tell you is
that in December of uh 1998, it was made clear to
me that this was the beginning of a revolution,
what they call the democratic revolution that’s
going to spread from Yugoslavia all the way to
Moscow. And that was the first time that I heard
openly the statement that this was this was the
beginning of something that would go all the way
to Moscow. And I was I was stunned because again,
you know, I did know a little bit about the
history of the region. And my immediate response
when I was in the war plans division in 1995 as a
war planner, I was asked to write a position
paper on what should we do or not do in the
Balkans. I said we should stay out. I said, “This
is an area of traditional Russian influence, and
if we were to in involve ourselves there, it
would be viewed as potentially threatening to
Russian interests.” And I talked about the
special relationship between the Serbs and others
and and the Russians really back to 1879 and
earlier. Of course, you know, the chief of staff
loved it. He sent it over to the White House. It
died. That was 1995. There was never Shal Kashi.
Are you friends of Charlie Kashili? the chief of
the army was Gordon Sullivan. I see and he said,
“Yeah, this makes sense. Everybody in the army
side because the last thing we want to do is go
over there.” Now, one thing I need to point out,
there was one person in the Clinton
administration who absolutely did not sign on for
all of this. That was Secretary Perry, the
Secretary of Defense. H and at one point he said
to general clerk he was giving he asked he was
giving guidance on what we should or shouldn’t do
with the Dayton accords if they and he said
remember a bad agreement is no agreement is
better than a bad agreement that was the first
thing so if we can’t get agree that’s all right
we you know secondly we don’t want any u dunic
corridors in other words we don’t want any
unstable unmaintained a mainable territorial
outcomes. They’re going to invite future violence
and so forth. And then finally, he said, “We
don’t want any agreement that involves a
commitment of US ground forces on the ground in
the Balkans.” Well, what did we get? Well, we got
all that we didn’t want. We got this long strip
of land out to Shreza. It’s made no sense.

Steve Jermy – service industry capitalism. Steve
Jermy and Douglas Mc Gregor. I was talking about
the fundamentals of military uh power and it
seemed to me um on a slightly different page here
to John Mirshime. The two critical things I used
to say were industrial capacity and uh energy. Uh
and you needed both to actually run a war. And
the the famous quote I used was from Yamamato who
was the admiral who um you know oversaw the early
days of the war.
he said, “Anybody who has been to the oil fields
of Texas or the automobile factories of Ohio
knows that we can never win a long-term war with
the United States.” And he was right, of course.
[snorts] But I think we’ve lost sight of that.
The thing I add now to there’s a third element
which we’re also lacking in which is the ability
to think strategically and clearly and we’ve just
lost that completely. But I think the the two
other things that I’ve come to realize are also
applying into this. The first is that I think um
certainly for United States but also to a lesser
extent for Britain we have sort of armies which
are we have armed forces which are configured
more for air se um rather than land. And of
course, the primary um opponents at the moment
that we’ve mistakenly chosen are configured the
other way around, but they’re also configured in
a way where they can deny us Siority and they can
deny us C control. And that’s a very very
fundamental change. Um there’s another thing
that’s I think it’s also very interesting which
is to pick up on your point Doug that um people
say no we need to spend more money and I keep
saying well surely we should work out why we want
to spend the money and the second thing is we
should work out if the money is being well spent.
Now if you listen to professor Michael Hudson
he’ll distinguish between on the one hand um
industrial capitalism which he says is what
happens in Russia and China and the other hand um
sort of service um services capitalism uh
financial capitalism I’m sorry is the word he
used which what happens in the west you know so
we’ve got most of our GDP is made up of services
which is fine unless you want to fight a war and
so I think we get particularly poor value for
money in the west and the way we spend money. I’m
on defense. I’m not 100% sure why, but I’m pretty
sure I’m right because I look at the force
structure that we’ve got at the moment. I just
take my own service, the Royal Navy. Yeah, we’re
spending probably a little bit less than we were,
but we’ve got 12 hulls, I suppose, at Ferguson
destroyers versus 70 when I was serving, you
know, and that’s that matters because um you
know, the numbers do actually matter if you want
to to use forces at sea. There a whole range of
range of reasons for that but they matter. So I
think that the the idea that we can just spend
more money and that the problem I mean forget it
forget it. Think about really how we spend the
money and what we’re going to spend the money for
and also where are we investing. I won’t I’m just
about to stop but of course one of the issues is
NATO and I’m just doing an article which is about
how we should be we should be retiring NATO uh
because we don’t get good value for money
investment we make in NATO and it doesn’t work.

Defence Authorisation Act (DAA) – US and Israeli
military merged. House Passes 2027 NDAA With
Section to Integrate US and Israeli Militaries
The bill passed in a 216-212 vote, with six
Democrats supporting it and seven Republicans
voting no The House on Wednesday passed its
version of the massive $1.15 trillion 2027
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which
includes Section 219 (formerly Section 224), a
provision to further integrate the US and Israeli
militaries, a scheme Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu has described as “my plan.”
NDAA passed largely along party lines in a
216-212 vote. Seven Republicans voted against it,
and two didn’t vote, meaning that the Democrats
could have blocked the legislation, but six
Democrats voted yes on the sweeping military
spending bill despite President Trump’s continued
war against Iran, which was launched without
congressional authorization. The Democrats who
voted for the bill include Reps. Henry Cuellar
(TX), Donald G. Davis (NC), Jared F. Golden (ME),
Vicente Gonzalez (TX), Adam Gray (CA), and Marie
Gluesenkamp Perez (WA). The Republicans who voted
against the legislation include Reps. Thomas
Massie (KY), Chip Roy (TX), Anna Paulina Luna
(FL), Harriet M. Hageman (WY), Elijah Crane (AZ),
Tim Burchett (TN), and Josh Brecheen (OK). The
vote came after the House Rules Committee didn’t
allow a vote on an amendment introduced by Rep.
Thomas Massie (R-KY) to strip Section 219 from
the NDAA. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), who supported
Massie’s effort, has said he would “fight to
strip this amendment in the conference between
the House and the Senate,” when the two chambers
negotiate the final NDAA. The Senate’s version of
the NDAA also includes a provision to integrate
the two militaries, but the legislation was
blocked by Senate Democrats last week over
President Trump’s war with Iran, which hasn’t
been authorized by Congress and has continued
despite both chambers passing a concurrent War
Powers Resolution directing the president to end the conflict.

Tornado in a Junk Yard. The Elite Don’t Want You
To Know: GOD IS REAL – Here’s the Proof.
SGTreport 2,977,999 views 22 Jun 2016 The global
elite are now in the process of unveiling that
which they have been hiding for centuries. There
is a spiritual war taking place on planet earth
at this very moment.
no further than the Goothard Tunnel opening
ceremony on June 1st in Switzerland. The nearly
$9 million dollar occult riddled ritual featured
Baphomet copulating with human women, the bride
of satan giving birth, all seeing eyes and an
endless amount of other Satanic symbology.
Meanwhile over at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider
project in the same country we see Shiva the God
of Destruction standing proudly in front of
CERN’s headquarters. And the CERN movie
‘Symmetry’ makes their aims perfectly clear, they
are actively trying to break the barrier between
that which is seen and unseen. Again, the elite
seem Hell bent on ushering in their NWO Beast
system and at this point they have stopped hiding
it. Would it really surprise any of you who
understand this information if you were to find
out the Darwin’s theories on the Origins of
Species are also nothing more than lies based on
deplorably bad “science” in order to get the
world’s population to dismiss the notion of a
Creator altogether? If the elite could get the
whole world to believe this beautiful planet and
all who inhabit are nothing more than a random
accident, they could get humanity to lower its
spiritual shields thereby making it far easier to
usher in the global system they seek, helmed by
the one they secretly serve, Satan. Spiritual
warfare on planet earth is alive and well – and
you have been lied to. Author James Perloff joins
me to deconstruct Darwin. and share proof that
God is real.. Some Christians and conservatives
think Darwinism is irrelevant a dry biological
theory best confined to science classrooms. This
is false. When youngsters from Christian homes
read the Bible or go to church, they learn that
God created the heavens and Earth, that God
created all life forms, and that God created
them, in his image, with purpose for their lives.
In the public school science classroom, however,
these youngsters begin hearing a different story.
They are told the heavens and Earth were not
created by God, but by a random event, “the Big
Bang.” They learn that life was not created by
God, but resulted from a random arrangement of
chemicals forming the first living cell, in an
ocean eons ago. And they learn that they
themselves are not purposefully created in God’s
image, but simply evolved from fish over millions
of years through “natural selection and survival
of the fittest.” Any thinking child will now
begin to ask a question: “Who’s right? My science
teacher or my pastor?” Many begin to say, “Hm,
maybe that stuff I’m hearing in church is just
baloney. Oh, the pastor, what does he know? He
went to a seminary – big deal! These science guys
find things out through the scientific method.
And if science has proven that evolution is true,
then what I’m hearing in church must be phony!”
And many of these children begin to consider that
church, the Bible, and God Himself are
irrelevant. Julian Huxley, perhaps evolution’s
foremost spokesman in the twentieth century,
stated that “Darwinism removed the whole idea of
God as the Creator of organisms from the sphere
of rational discussion.” In other words,
according to Huxley, even your sanity is in
question if you believe in God instead of Darwin.
Now I realize a few people say something like
this: “Hey, chill out, will you? I believe in
evolution and the Bible. What’s wrong with that?
Look, it’s simple. The Bible isn’t a science
textbook. We’re not supposed to take it
literally. Jesus himself spoke in parables
that’s symbolic language, right? So obviously,
when the Bible talks about creation, that’s
symbolic language for Darwin’s theory of
evolution. Adam and Eve were probably just a
parable for those ape-men we see in National Geographic.”

The agreement, signed in Kyiv on Monday, promises
new tools for protecting military bases and
critical infrastructure while raising quieter
questions about data ethics and escalation that
mainstream coverage has largely set
aside. It’s actually very simple. For UK this
is a war of choice. There’s no downside to
pulling out. Our sanctions against Russia have
already inflicted massive costs and long term
severe economic damage to ourselves. Our
involvement in this war has been a needless act
of self harm and will only become more so. For
Russia it’s existential. They cannot allow a
hostile, belligerent NATO to establish itself and
its nuclear weapons ten minutes flying time from
Moscow, or allow the US Navy to take over the
Sevastopol naval base. Any more than US would
allow China to set up a huge naval base in
Tijuana, or allow Russian nuclear missiles in
Ottawa. If we keep on pushing and escalating
Russia will at some point go nuclear and the UK
will face the prospect of destruction. And
afterwards any survivors will wonder: why did we
do that?

deal learning a lot about drones from Ukraine
war. Britain Gets Access to Ukraine Battlefield
Data to Train AI Defense Systems By Newsmax Wires
| Monday, 24 August 2026 Britain is gaining
access to a vast trove of Ukrainian battlefield
data under a new defense partnership aimed at
developing artificial intelligence systems
capable of detecting threats and military targets
more quickly. Prime Minister Andy Burnham and
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed
the agreement Monday in Kyiv, making Britain the
first international partner
<https://www.newsmax.com/world/globaltalk/britain-gets-access-to-ukraine-battlefield-data-to-train-ai-defense-systems/2026/08/24/id/1267151/>to
gain access to Ukraine’s Avengers AI Labs,
according to the British government and Reuters.
was built around an annotated database of about 5
million battlefield images, largely drawn from
Ukraine’s DELTA combat system, which combines
information from cameras and sensors to provide
battlefield awareness, Reuters reported. The data
includes imagery and information on Russian
tanks, artillery, air-defense systems, troops,
drones, and other battlefield targets collected
during the war. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry says
AI models trained on the data are already being
used in automated target-detection systems that
analyze more than 100,000 drone video feeds each
month and identify about 70% of enemy targets in
real time, Reuters reported. British researchers
and technology companies will now be able to work
with the Ukrainian data to develop new defense
and security applications. One of the first
projects will combine Ukrainian battlefield data
with British technology to turn buried
fiber-optic cables into a giant AI-enabled sensor
capable of detecting and classifying movement
around sensitive sites, according to the British
government. The technology is being tested at a
British defense site and is intended to help
identify protesters or hostile actors attempting
to approach military facilities or gather
intelligence, according to British officials. The
government said the technology could eventually
be used to protect airports, prisons, railways,
and energy infrastructure. Britain is
particularly interested in Ukraine’s experience
detecting drones and other threats after more
than four years of combat with Russia. The
partnership also includes research into low-power
AI chips that could be used in future drones,
robotics, and autonomous systems, the British
government said. Three British technology
companies Sintela, Mind Foundry, and Skyral
are participating in the initial pilot projects,
according to the government. The agreement gives
British researchers access to battlefield data
generated under real combat conditions,
potentially allowing them to train AI systems
using examples of the drones, armored vehicles,
artillery, and other threats Ukraine has
encountered in its war with Russia. The British
government said the partnership will initially
focus on defense and national-security projects
that bring together researchers, engineers,
technology companies, and military experts from
both countries. The deal represents a significant
expansion of technology cooperation between
Britain and Ukraine, combining Ukraine’s
battlefield experience and data with British
expertise in artificial intelligence, sensors, and autonomous systems.

Post article: BCfm cleared after being reported
to Ofcom for anti-semitic conspiracy theories –
It could have resulted in BCfm radio station
being shut down if the complaint was upheld Tony
Gosling reported to Ofcom by UK Lawyers for
Israel after being accused of anti-semitism A
Bristol radio station, which had one of its
programmes reported for anti-semitism and racism
has been cleared by Ofcom. The radio regulatory
body received a complaint from “UK Lawyers for
Israel’ over a show on BCfm radio, hosted by
investigative journalist Tony Gosling. The weekly
politics show, on the popular community radio
station based in Easton, was reported for several
allegations on a show which aired on November 23.
Tony Gosling, who was a former BBC journalist
between 1989 and 1993, has been producing and
presenting ‘The Tony Gosling Politics’ show every
week on BCFM radio for 11 years. They have
released a statement which reads: “Whilst we are
supportive of all our volunteer presenters, The
Tony Gosling Politics Show only represents
approximately ten percent of our political output
content wise, and less than two per cent of our
entire weekly output.” Mr Gosling’s programme
looks at local politics and he interviews a range
of councillors and MPs in the city. The show is
also perhaps more well known for its alternative
look at international politics, and he has a cult
following online from across the world. Mr
Gosling has made regular appearances on national
media including the politics show with Andrew
Neil on BBC One, and international channels such
as Russia Today, Channel1 Russia, NTV, and
recently for both Turkish and Lebanon TV.

November 2012 – Tony gets death threats on the
phone from the Jewish Defence League – ‘you’re a
dead man walking’ – a man calls him and Tony
records the call.

of UK Jewish Defence League (JDL) death threat
against British journalist Tony Gosling (2012) –
Avon and Somerset police Special Branch
investigate, trace the caller, and after six
months report to Tony that the individual has
been served a caution that they will proceed with
a prosecution for harassment under the 1861
offences against the person act. Seems pretty
clear this death threat was issued alongside the
lies, copied below, which were published on their
blog by London based UK JDL in November
2012. Firstly Tony Gosling is not a ‘homophobe’.
That accusation was first made in an article
published by the ‘Harry’s Place’ blog, penned by
Zionist David Toube and propelled by him
anonymously into Private Eye in 2008. It refers
to Gosling’s criticism of senior teachers at
Bannerman Road Primary school in Bristol who used
homosexual early learning picture books against
the express wishes of the parent governors. His
criticism was about the deception by teaching
staff not because of the homosexual content of
the books. Secondly, if you follow the JDL link
you’ll find what Tony Gosling actually says about
the ‘Protocols Of The Learned Elders Of Zion’
says “…I don’t think there is much doubt that the
Protocols are fake…” Thirdly he is not a member
of Bristol Palestine Solidarity Campaign and has
never been to any of their meetings.
