strike British military targets over the UK’s
support for Ukraine. Russia’s foreign ministry
spokesperson told the UK to back off on what she
called London’s hostile stance on the war, which
she said risked taking the conflict to an
entirely new level.

earlier that Britain and France were “playing
with fire” by supplying sensitive missile
technology to Ukraine. But the Ministry of

classified technology to start its own production

Street continue to escalate, a week after
Russia’s embassy in the UK said reports that
Ukrainian forces had used unmanned aircraft
manufactured by two UK companies “confirm that
London is deliberately opting for an escalation
of the Ukraine crisis”. But former ministers have
said Mr Burnham must not flinch in the face of
the threats. Former foreign secretary Sir Malcolm
Rifkind told The Independent: “This is probably
usual sabre-rattling from Russia. “It is not
impossible they might try a significant cyber
attack or something military to appear macho. If
they do, they should remember that the UK has
offensive cyber capability and could use it!”
Former defence secretary Grant Shapps said: “The
real Russian threat to this country is not a
missile over Hertfordshire – it is sabotage,
cyberattacks and hybrid operations against our
defence industry, our undersea cables and our
critical national infrastructure, deniably and by
proxy. That is where ministers must harden our
defences now, not after the fact. “The answer to
intimidation has never been to back away from it.
If London flinched every time Moscow rattled the
sabre, the sabre would simply be rattled more
often, and next time over Poland or the Baltics.

‘highest levels of the Russian government’ were
considering a ‘hybrid attack’, such as sabotage

In an exclusive interview with The Mail on
Sunday, Andrei Fedorov, a former deputy foreign
minister of Russia, described the UK as ‘evil
number one’. Among the Kremlin’s targets is a
drone factory owned by a British-Ukrainian firm,
Ukrspecsystems. Details of the company’s premises
next to RAF Mildenhall, in West Suffolk, were
made public in April alongside five other
European firms that make weapons and drones for
Ukraine in its war against Russia. On Saturday
night, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said: ‘The
reckless rhetoric and attempts at intimidation we
have seen from the Kremlin in recent weeks
reflects the weakness of Putin’s position and we
will not be intimidated. ‘This has been a bad
year for Putin. The front line has barely moved.
Russian casualties continue to mount. The Russian
people are paying a heavy price for Putin’s war.
‘It is also in our national interest that Putin’s
aggression must not be rewarded. The Prime
Minister, the Foreign Secretary and I are working
together to mobilise support for Ukraine ahead of
winter.’ The threat comes as: Bosses of British
defence companies have been warned they could be
targets of Russian hybrid attacks; A pro-Kremlin
war channel suggested that a Nato base in Estonia
with at least 900 British troops should be
attacked; One of the assassins of Russian
defector Alexander Litvinenko plans to hold an
anti-UK exhibition opposite the British embassy
in Moscow; Britain’s ambassador to Russia told
officials not to confirm if British weapons are
going to Ukraine to prevent an escalation by
Putin. On Saturday, Elisabeth Braw, an expert on
the Atlantic Council thinktank, said that the
point of hybrid attacks is that they put a
country like the UK in a dilemma about how to
respond. She said: ‘I call hybrid threats the
defender’s dilemma because it really is the
defender’s dilemma. ‘How exactly are you supposed
to hit back because if you were to use military
means, then you would really cause World War
Three.’ Fedorov, 71, said that the Kremlin would
not launch an outright military strike against
Britain, a Nato member, because it could lead to
the Western alliance launching a collective
military response against Russia. But he added:
‘The UK is evil number one. After the information
that UK-made drones were used against Russian oil
refineries, this has become a big anger [sic] in
Russian society. ‘Various experts are calling to
punish by strike [sic] the UK, and it will be
supported by the majority of Russian citizens.’
He said that Putin and his cronies were angry
Andy Burnham had handed Ukraine blueprints for
long-range Storm Shadow missiles, which have been
used previously to strike inside Russia.

Jason Pearlman is among several pro-Israel
figures behind the party predicted to win big in
May elections Israel has not committed a single
war crime in Gaza, the head of the newly-formed
Reform Friends of Israel has claimed. Speaking to
Declassified, Jason Pearlman also described the
torture and abuse of Palestinian detainees held
in Israeli prisons as “the minutiae of individual
claims”.

December, Pearlman was a media adviser to
Israel’s president, Isaac Herzog, who a UN
commission found to have incited genocide.
Speaking from Israel, where he still lives, he

with Reform about turning the party’s ‘Friends of
Israel’ group into a “full-time” organisation
while he was still working for Herzog. “We did
have a dinner with Nigel and some key backers,”
he said. “We were able to put seed funding
together.” Pearlman refused to say who Reform
Friends of Israel’s (RFOI) donors were. But he
admitted: “I’m sure some of the people who fund
CFI [Conservative Friends of Israel] and LFI
[Labour Friends of Israel] will also be funding
RFI.” While Jason Pearlman remains an obscure
figure in British politics, he stands to become
one of the most influential figures on foreign
policy, if Nigel Farage’s party wins the next
election. He has said he has “great respect” for
Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the
International Criminal Court for war crimes. And,
when his departure from Israeli politics was
announced in December, he was personally thanked
by President Herzog. “Jason has helped guide the
Office of the President through perhaps Israel’s
most challenging times with the international
press,” Herzog said. “I am grateful for his
tireless efforts to promote understanding of the
work of the President of Israel and bring
Israel’s story to millions around the world.”
When Declassified asked Pearlman if he believed
Israel had committed any war crimes since 7
October 2023, he said: “No, of course not.” He
added: “The tragedy is that there is no nuance
when it comes to discussing this conflict.”
Declassified asked if he could think of a single
specific case where he would condemn IDF soldiers
in Gaza. Pearlman replied: “Probably… [but] I
can’t think of anything specifically off-hand.”
And when asked about the well-documented abuse
and torture of Palestinian prisoners, Pearlman
said: “I am sure there is some truth to all of
these things…” But he appeared to dismiss such
cases in favour of focusing on “the wider
perspective of ‘how do we solve these issues?’”…

was run by a party supporter with no official
position in Reform, the party has said. The post,
on Facebook, accuses Ukraine of corruption, says

country and calls for the lifting of sanctions
against Russia. Reform said the account was “not
official” and that the post was “contrary to our
policy”. “We stand fully behind Ukraine against
Russia’s brutal invasion,” a spokesperson added.
The post, published on Monday, has been condemned
by other political parties. The criticisms of

why is Ukraine being chosen for this particular

and therefore the war can be pursued without any
danger of it leading to a nuclear conflict. That
is what is going on. The war is happening. And as
for losing Ukraine, another small reminiscence,
if I may, about 20 years ago, I went back to
Moscow to see what was then the first the first
military parade of the Russian armed forces since
the end of the Soviet Union. And I watched it
with my old friend Igor Mishv whose father had
been a Soviet Navy nuclear submarine captain who
knew his stuff about military matters. And we
watched all this stuff trundling by. And at the
end of it, he turned to me and said, “What do you
think of our display of strategic scrap metal?”
And he was right. The Soviet Union may have been
military powerful in its time uh by its own
standards. Russia is not a serious conventional
military power. It’s one aircraft carrier can’t
leave port without a target in case it breaks
down and seems to burn vegetable oil to move.
It’s it its navy is a is a comical comical
display. Its army is drunken, illisiplined, and
frankly disgraceful. And in four years of war, it
hasn’t been able to take Karkov 20 miles from its
border. And you think they’re going to arrive at
Calala. The European NATO states already spend
without any encouragement from Donald Trump three
times as much on armaments as Russia does. And
they spend it better and they have better armed
forces. This is an imaginary threat. Why are we
fighting this war? Fighting this war because of a
a deep desire in certain American foreign policy
circles to keep Russia down. And this is this is
Adam braided in a in a document called the
Wolawitz doctrine which I urge you to look up in
which the whole idea was put forward that Russia

Mladic was born in Bosnia. He was a Yugoslav
citizen because that was part of Yugoslavia back
then, but he was born in Boston actually in the
middle in in the very central part of Bosnia. You
you don’t get more Bosnian than his native town
of Kalino. and u he was uh so all three sides are
native of Bosnia. They they it was a classical
civil war. It there there was no aggression from
Serbia. Actually if there was aggression it was
from the creation side because the Croatian army
in at least two um examples uh invaded Bosnian
territory at the beginning of the war in the
early spring of 92. Uh so uh uh of all the three
sides, not only that the servers were the only
one to get the large portion of the blame, but I
will now quote Indian General Satish Nambir. She
was, I believe, for more than a year, the
commander of the UN peacekeeping forces in Bosnia
during the war, during the last stage of the war.
and he wrote a public letter um if I recall
correctly somewhere late in 95 so 31 years ago
where he said we knew that all three sides were
committing atrocities and war crimes but unlike
Cros and Muslims Serbs were the only one who
didn’t try to fool us to trick us to to to play
dumb with us. So if he said in a letter, if we
were if we found a village, Ser village or a
corrupt village that was uh practically massacred
by Boston forces and we knew that was that as a
fact for a state of fact, you know, but when we
would confront Bosnian army with that, they would
no no we didn’t do it. If we were to find a Serb
or a Muslim village that was massacred by
creation forces and we confronted confronted
creation forces forces with that fact, they were
like, “No, no, no, we didn’t do it.” As opposed
to that. If there was a creation or a Muslim
village that was massacred by Serbs and we
confronted Serbs about that, Serbs were like,
“Maybe we did that.” So that’s another
distinction between the Serbian side and the
other two sides. Now as uh as for the hack
tribunal, the hack tribunal officially brought up
charges against Rad Kumadish who was the head
commander commander-in-chief of the Bostonian
Serb army and Radan Karaj who was the president
of Republic of Serbska that’s the Serbian entity
uh inside Boston. So uh uh the hack tribunal
brought up official charges against the two of
them in 96. I believe the main witness maybe even
the only witness on that bringing up of the
charges was Draan Erdo an ethnic who was also a
mercenary and who fought somehow managed to fight
for all three sides in the civil war. first for I
believe uh Bostonian cross then for Bostonian mos
Muslims and then at the end for Bostonian service
when he surrendered to the hack tribunal and he
surrendered not because he wanted to come clear
with his conscience or whatever. No, he had some
trouble with other mercenaries. He was even

show that he feared the Soviets would see this as
a response to a coup attempt and decide that
perhaps a first strike was coming, a very
dangerous condition for all. If that’s the
thinking among the top circles today, where the
situation on the global stage is even more
precarious and, by any measure, more dangerous,
this trip would be one way of alleviating that
possible interpretation of events if there were
plans underway to do something that could seem
unusual from the outside. The hasty removal of
Trump, particularly after the recent bizarre
staging of his shipping crate escapade and the
various assassination attempt(s) and/or “plots”
against him, would likely appear as unusual in their eyes.

the Russians and the Soviets before them for over
six decades, and said that the Russians are “an
open book,” and make their nuclear policy crystal
clear. Colby is “still wet behind the ears” with
no experience and no understanding of what war
is. McGovern used to brief Colby’s father on the
Russians. Elbridge Colby wrote that he wants
“nuclear superiority,” but McGovern said that
this is not possible and that nobody will be
superior in a nuclear war, which is why it is
called “Mutually Assured Destruction.” McGovern
stressed that President Trump is not well
physically nor psychologically and could lead the
world into a nuclear war either deliberately,
accidentally, or by responding to an Israeli
“false flag” provocation. This Israeli
instigation is how President Trump started the
Iran War. Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz
which is the equivalent of holding a nuclear
weapon. Would Trump respond with a nuclear
weapon? Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson recently spoke
on the Judging Freedom podcast where he said that
the U.S. military leadership would not allow
Trump to use nuclear weapons. McGovern said that
he prays that Wilkerson is correct, but that
there is no assurance. McGovern spoke of several
near nuclear incidents such as in 1983 when
Soviet Union radar indicated a missile attack,
the Russian officer in charge [Lt. Col. Stanislav
Petrov] refused to launch a counterattack,
knowing that there was a technical problem with
the radar system and that there was no threat.
Another crisis in Nov. 1983 was averted when the
CIA’s Mel Goodman­with whom McGovern said he was
proud to work on Soviet foreign policy­bypassed
all his superiors and went directly to CIA
Director Bill Casey to warn that the White House
had to stop ongoing western military exercises
which were misunderstood in Moscow to be an
attack on the Soviet Union. A third possible
incident occurred when President Nixon had been
drinking heavily and Kissinger warned military
leaders that Nixon was inebriated and should he
give orders to launch a nuclear strike the
military leaders should first check with
Kissinger. McGovern said that we are currently
facing a level of danger that he has not seen
since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, and he again
put the biggest concern on President Trump’s mental state.

customize it for each one of you and I can give
you incentives and I can give you rules and
unless you do exactly what I say, I can turn off
your money or I can apply negative interest rates
to your money or positive interest rates, I can
raise your taxes without anybody having any say

all digital system with an automatic third lock

manual third lock in a social credit system for
every individual and and and essentially automate
the whole process with AI then then they have the
ability in fact to control many many people now

on photography in public spaces, says NUJ The NUJ
is calling on the Home Office to rectify
information it has published and shared with
asylum seekers on restrictions around
photographing and filming people in public
places. The information leaflet, posted on the
government website on 19 August, makes a
misleading blanket claim that people in the UK
“could be arrested by the police” if they “take
pictures or videos of someone without their
permission […] including in public spaces, like
streets or

These statements misrepresent the law and risk
misleading people on their rights and
obligations. Taking photos or videos of people in
public without their permission is not inherently
unlawful. There are certain contexts in which
photography and videos taken and shared without a
person’s permission are legally prohibited – for
example, voyeurism and upskirting or causing
harassment and distress as per the Protection
from Harassment Act. There is also a right to
redress if a photo or video is taken or published
of someone without permission in a private
setting or where they have reasonable expectation
of privacy. These legal restrictions should be
communicated with accuracy and nuance, which are
not present in the Home Office’s leaflet. NUJ
members working in visual journalism are already
experiencing increased obstruction, hostility and
routinely deal with people questioning their
right to photograph in public. This can even rise
to instances of verbal and physical abuse, as has
been documented by our Journalists’ Safety
Tracker. Séamus Dooley, NUJ assistant general
secretary, said: “This communication not only
runs the risk of misleading asylum seekers, it
could also have serious consequences for our
members – particularly photographers and
videographers who regularly carry out their work
in public places. It also spreads public
confusion that could serve to inhibit public
interest journalism. Press photographers and
other lens-based journalists perform a legitimate
and important function in reporting and recording
events in public spaces. “The union is very
concerned that the spread of inaccurate
information around the right to photograph and
film people in public without permission could
expose our members to increased hostility and
harassment as well as wrongful accusations of
criminality and unjustifiable stops by the
police. This would undermine journalists’ right
to report and the public’s right to know. “The
NUJ urges the government to amend its publication
and will be writing directly to the Home Secretary to raise this issue.”

Well before the beginning of the Cold War, the
Soviet Union achieved a series of propaganda
successes by using “front” organizations that
ostensibly served independent purposes but were
orchestrated by Moscow. In the late 1940s, Frank
Wisner, chief of political warfare for the newly
created CIA, proposed a U.S. version: a “mighty
Wurlitzer” that like its namesake would play the
music America desired.

State–Long Beach professor Wilford describes the
“Wurlitzer” as most successful in supporting
Western Europe’s noncommunist leftist unions,
students and intellectuals during the 1950s. As
the Cold War spread, the CIA organized programs
in the Third World combining development with
anticommunism. The CIA was more a source of
funding and fine-tuning than the master player
its organizers intended; few of its front groups
were unaware of the connection. What made the
system work was a shared, principled and intense
anticommunism combined with trust in America’s
intentions and capabilities. As these eroded
during the Vietnam era, the Wurlitzer’s music
grew discordant, then ceased altogether.
Wilford’s conclusion that winning hearts and
minds is best left to overt processes and
organizations is predictable and defensible.
Still, Wisner’s Wurlitzer helped level the
playing field at a crucial period of the Cold
War. In 1967 the magazine Ramparts ran an exposé
revealing that the Central Intelligence Agency
had been secretly funding and managing a wide
range of citizen front groups intended to counter
communist influence around the world. In addition
to embarrassing prominent individuals caught up,
wittingly or unwittingly, in the secret
superpower struggle for hearts and minds, the
revelations of 1967 were one of the worst
operational disasters in the history of American
intelligence and presaged a series of public
scandals from which the CIA’s reputation has
arguably never recovered. CIA official Frank
Wisner called the operation his “mighty
Wurlitzer,” on which he could play any propaganda
tune. In this illuminating book, Hugh Wilford
provides the first comprehensive account of the
clandestine relationship between the CIA and its
front organizations. Using an unprecedented
wealth of sources, he traces the rise and fall of
America’s Cold War front network from its origins
in the 1940s to its Third World expansion during
the 1950s and ultimate collapse in the 1960s.
