Make Slavery Great Again? Judith Brown joins Tony
and Martin. Universal Basic Income – pros and
cons. Universal Basic Income: Make Slavery Great
Again Living as Safe as Slaves Government UBI
will happen – it already does to some extent, but
the future will see it on a far, far larger
scale. It will not be cash handouts but digital
currency. This will be a tightly controlled
version, as in a Central Bank Digital Currency
(CBDC), because the government will claim
responsibility for controlling the money it
dispenses. CBDC is essentially food vouchers, and
intended to be. Your UBI will be yours as long as
you use it for what the government allows, within
the time they allow.
people are already building the social
acceptability for this. Those suggesting now that
a virtuous society should prevent food vouchers
or unemployment benefits from being used for
sugar-based drinks or tobacco believe already
that dependent people have lost their right to
autonomy. Again, this is not at all theoretical.
It is exactly what this form of money is intended
for. Most people in society will see its
introduction as a good thing, as they are fine
with limiting the freedom of others if told that
it serves a greater good. In countries like
Canada, if you protest against the government,
you can already lose your right to buy or sell.
If you need permission to obtain the basics of
life and cannot make your own choices on the
pursuit of happiness, and you are punished for
questioning those who restrict you, then you are
in a master-slave relationship. In time, most
people will become, essentially, a slave of the
UBI provider, the government. This is the design
behind UBI and CBDCs. It is why very rich people,
the people who own the AI and robotics that are
going to make so much human labor superfluous,
see this as an excellent path. All the above will
not seem at all dystopian. Governments will
control their populations as part of saving the
world (saving the world is important) and will
readily convince a majority of the population
that being saved is a good idea. We need
governments to save us from climate catastrophe
by stopping us from travelling, as our children
are already told. We need large corporations to
save us from pandemics, including those that the
same corporations’ laboratories may develop. We
need ever more expensive pharmaceuticals injected
into us to save us from the scourge of obesity –
to save us from our own inability to control our
eating. We will certainly need saving from mass
unemployment and the inability of a large part of
the population to earn their own keep….

Dugmore from New Statesman – are student loans
next mis selling scandal? Journalist hailed for
‘chilling’ Question Time speech on ‘disgusting’
Labour A JOURNALIST delivered a chilling speech
on Labour’s “extraordinary” appointment of Peter
Mandelson as US ambassador on Question Time.
studio audience were stunned into silence as the
New Statesman’s Oli Dugmore lay bare his shock at
revelations over the past week, including that
Keir Starmer knew that Mandelson had continued
his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein after the
late paedophile’s conviction when he appointed
him as US ambassador. The admission that came
during Prime Minister’s Questions this week has
led to some MPs suggesting Starmer’s position may
now be untenable, as well as that of his chief of
staff Morgan McSweeney. Dugmore was on the panel
alongside Reform UK head of policy Zia Yusuf,
Labour MP Emma Reynolds, Conservative MP Julia
Lopez and LibDem MP Munira Wilson. Dugmore began
by saying: “I’m generally a pretty forgiving
person and I think our politics is poorer for its
lack of empathy. “I think most people should not
be defined by the worst thing they’ve ever done
in their lives and most people deserve a second
chance. “I do, however, have some moral
boundaries, and one of them is I think it is
wrong to have sex with children and I wouldn’t
want to be friends with anyone that did that and
I certainly wouldn’t want to work with them. If I
did, I think you’d all be asking me questions and
they’d be valid ones. “That is apparently now a
fringe position for some people at the top of the
Labour Party which is an extraordinary thing to
be able to say. “I don’t know about you, I don’t
know any paedophiles, I don’t know anyone that’s
run a sex trafficking ring, these are
extraordinary things we are talking about here.”
Dugmore went on to talk about reports showing how
people at the top of the Labour Party knew about
Mandelson staying in Epstein’s house while he was
in prison. To nervous laughter from the audience,
he said: “They [Labour bosses] didn’t think that
was disqualifying, they thought actually ‘this is
our guy’. “This is our guy that we’re going to
elevate to the most prestigious diplomatic
posting that we have, we’re going to make him our
man in Washington. Not only that, we’re going to
bring him back to London every so often to advise
on some Cabinet reshuffles, and actually when
we’re choosing our candidates for the 2024
General Election, we’re going to let him put in
on that too because we think he’s a great judge
of character. “Like, come on.” The audience
applauded his speech which has been widely shared on social media…

Eldin Fahmy, Professor of Social Policy at
Bristol University, and part of Palestine
Solidarity, joins Tony and Martin. “We oppose
genocide, and therefore we support whatever
nonviolent action might be required to stop it
and to shut down the UK-based weapons
manufacturers that are helping to enable it. We
oppose genocide, therefore we support Palestine
Action”, UK law professors set out why they
signed open letter in support of Palestine Action
Seven of the more than 100 academics to sign an
open letter submitted to the High Court said they
support ‘non violent action’ that might be
required to stop genocide
<https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/uk-law-professors-explain-support-palestine-action>Several
UK-based law professors have explained their
decision to submit a letter to the Court of
Appeal in support of the proscribed direct action
group Palestine Action, as the court began
hearing a government bid to keep the group banned
under UK terror laws. Law Professor Neve Gordon
at Queen Mary University of London and Professor
Yvette Russell at the University of Bristol were
among more than 100 academics to sign Tuesday’s
open letter, composed of only seven words, which
read: “We oppose genocide, we support Palestine
Action.” Activists in support of Palestine Action
hand-delivered the seven-word letter to the court
on Tuesday, the same day that the government
lodged its appeal against February’s ruling,
which found the ban to be unlawful. Lady Chief of
Justice Sue Carr confirmed that the judges had
received the letter, with Carr reading it out in
open court. Speaking to MEE on Thursday, seven of
the professors that signed the letter defended
their decision to do so, saying that because they
opposed genocide, they “support whatever
nonviolent action might be required to stop it”.
“We oppose genocide because as academics who came
of age in the decades that followed the second
world war, we know that ‘never again’ must mean
what it says,” they said in an email to Middle
East Eye. “Since we oppose genocide and teach
Law, we oppose, above all, any restrictions on
one of the most fundamental principles of our
entire judicial system and tradition – the
hard-won principle that jurors have the right,
indeed the duty, to hear and evaluate the whole
truth of the case they are called upon to judge,
and to acquit a defendant on the basis of their
own independent judgment and conscience. “We
oppose genocide, and therefore we support
whatever nonviolent action might be required to
stop it and to shut down the UK-based weapons
manufacturers that are helping to enable it. We
oppose genocide, therefore we support Palestine
Action,” they said. “We support Palestine Action,
and we call on all people of conscience and
goodwill to join us in doing so,” the group
added. More than 1,000 others also signed onto
the letter, including leftist intellectual Tariq
Ali, philosopher Judith Butler, writer Salley
Rooney and activist Greta Thunberg.

Marketisation of universities. Universities mis
selling a product – can students earn money back?
Reform of higher education needed. Fighting
privatisation in tertiary education We have one
of the fastest growing private sectors in Europe
and the level of private investment in tertiary
education in the UK is already far above the EU
and OECD averages. Fighting Privatisation Toolkit
The government is committed to opening up the
further and higher education sectors to ‘new
providers’, especially those from the private
sector. UCU is opposed to the privatisation of
tertiary education.
think that the interests of our members, of the
students and parents who are at the heart of
education and of the wider society we serve, are
best served by an education system that is funded
and controlled by the public and that is
democratically accountable to the citizens of the
UK. Here you can read all about our campaigns
against privatisation and download our resources.
Education is not for profit The government is
committed to de-regulating the higher education
sector in favour of private companies, creating
what it calls a ‘level playing field’ for
profit-making companies. UCU has long been
concerned that this will remove the academic
checks and balances that protect standards in
universities, allowing companies whose primary
obligation is to their shareholders to drive down
costs and opening the door to the kind of
mis-selling, recruitment and fraud scandals seen
in the USA recently. USIC pay freeze March 2026:
Strike action has been taking place at University
of Sheffield International College (USIC) over a
pay freeze. USIC is owned by Study Group. Staff
were told their cost of living pay increase,
already delayed by six months, would be frozen
for the second year in a row. Despite this, pay
CEO Ian Chrichton took home over £600k in 2024,
including a bonus of over £195k. The USIC UCU
branch chair said: ‘Our members are angry that
the college is being slowly run into the ground
by an overpaid corporate leadership that shows no
interest in quality of education.’ Falmouth
University to bring on-campus academic staff
in-house June 2023: After a long-running dispute
Falmouth University is to bring on-campus
academic staff in-house. The move means staff
will automatically be enrolled onto the Teachers’
Pension Scheme (TPS). All new campus-based
academic jobs will also be employed directly
through the university, rather than a subsidiary
company. Falmouth UCU members voted
overwhelmingly to resolve the dispute and work
constructively with management going forward.
ALRA drama school goes into liquidation April
2022: The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts,
based in London and Wigan, has announced it is
going into liquidation. There was no warning
given, and the first that either students or
staff heard was a message on 4 April stating that
the building was closed and that all staff were
redundant from that date on. Secret discussions
with the Office for Students (OfS) have led to an
offer for students to transfer their studies to
Rose Bruford but there was no such consideration
for staff. UCU has highlighted the lax regulation
of private educational providers: it is yet
another stark reminder of the human consequences
of government inaction. Government must bring
colleges back into public ownership September
2020: The government needs to bring colleges back
into public ownership and fund them properly,
said UCU in response to a report on the financial
sustainability of colleges from the National
Audit Office: Bring colleges back into public
ownership and fund them properly For-profit
college goes into administration July 2019: UCU
responded to the news that England’s biggest for
profit college has gone into administration by
calling on the government to look again at the
funding free for all around private providers.
Current students will now have to find
alternative institutions from September:

China has free higher education. Censorship of
academic voices by sponsors? Study Abroad in
China. All You Need to Know about Tuition and
Living Costs Many international students chose
China for their studies abroad. But why? Well,
China has been investing a lot in education over
the last years and has developed partnerships
with universities from the UK and US.
universities offer quality education and have
high-standard facilities. That’s why, over 100
higher education institutions are currently
present in top rankings created by Times Higher
Education and TopUniversities. But how expensive
is it to live and study in China? Below, we’ll
talk about average expenses, like tuition fees
and living costs. We want to give you a general
idea regarding what kind of budget you’ll need to
study in the 4th largest country in the world.
The average tuition fees in Chinese public
universities range between 2,500 and 10,000
USD/academic year. You can also find several
programmes with no tuition fees. These are
usually offered by universities from other
countries (e.g. the UK, Germany, Denmark), which
have campuses in China. Tuition fees in private
universities Private universities usually have
higher tuition. While most courses cost under
30,000 USD/year, for some MBA programmes you can
pay over 40,000 USD/year. Costs can be even
higher in private institutions from other
countries. For example, the New York University
(NYU) Shanghai, established in collaboration with
the East China Normal University of Shanghai, has
tuition fees of over 50,000 USD/year. The most
common accommodation options in China are:
Student residence halls – prices range between
150 and 400 USD/month. Renting a flat – expect to
pay between 300 and 1,000 USD/month for a
one-bedroom apartment (depending on the city, the
location of the apartment and the included
facilities). Living with a Chinese family– between 350 and 550 USD/month…

Matt Kennard article – US, UK defence agreement.
UK participating in Iran war although Starmer
says they’re not. We still don’t know what’s in
the 2020 UK-Israel defence pact The UK and Israel
signed a secret military pact in 2020. British
governments hate transparency, as we know so the
public isn’t allowed to know anything of note
about this defence agreement.
week we were reminded of its existence once again
by journalist Matt Kennard. When the agreement
was done, there were many celebratory social
media posts, including from the Israeli military.
Here is the head of strategy of the Foreign,
Common and Development Office, Neil Wigan, a
former UK ambassador to Israel, doing the same.
You can read an excellent breakdown of recent
UK-Israel military cooperation here for context.
Defence agreement to boost ‘military cooperation’
In 2020, the UK Defence Journal (UKDJ) wrote:
Most of the agreement is highly classified, but
the cooperation will include defence medical
training, organisational design concepts and
defence education. UKDJ also cited a UK-Israel
thinktank named BICOM as having said: Military
cooperation has been growing over the last decade
with the relationship viewed as mutually
beneficial. The same report stated: In October,
it was reported that the British had been given
access to Israel’s Rhino mobile headquarters,
designed by Elbit Systems. The British Army said
the system helps to “reduce the size of the
headquarters, makes it less vulnerable and able
to make and communicate decisions faster.
Israel’s Rhino headquarters is a form of
networked command vehicle. You can read about it
via Army Recognition. An October 2020 article on
Middle East Forum said: For three weeks in
October the British looked at various new
technologies. One of the innovative designs is by
Israel’s Elbit Systems and is called the “Rhino
mobile headquarters.” It uses advanced digital
technology to link together units in the field
and commanders with the best information possible
to help achieve results on the battlefield….

King Charles’s speech at Congress – US, UK
special relationship. I am mindful that we are
still in the season of Easter. The season that
most strengthens my hope. It is why I believe
with all my heart that the essence of our two
nations is a generosity of spirit and a duty to
foster compassion, to promote peace, to deepen
mutual understanding, and to value all people of
all faiths and of none.
alliance that our two nations have built over the
centuries and for which we are profoundly
grateful to the American people is truly unique.
And that alliance is part of what Henry Kissinger
described as Kennedy’s soaring vision of an
Atlantic partnership based on twin pillars,
Europe and America. That partnership, I believe,
Mr. Speaker, is more important today than it has
ever been. The first reigning British sovereign
to set foot in America was my grandfather, King
George V 6th. He visited in 1939 with my beloved
grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
The forces of fascism in Europe were on the
march. And sometime before the United States had
joined us in the defense of freedom, our shared
values prevailed. Today, we find ourselves in a
new era, but those values remain. It is an era
that is in many ways more volatile and more
dangerous than the world to which my late mother
spoke in this chamber in 1991. The challenges we
face are too great for any one nation to bear
alone. But in this unpredictable environment, our
alliance cannot rest on past achievements or
assume that foundational principles simply
endure. As um my prime minister said last month,
ours is an indispensable partnership. We must not
disregard everything that has sustained us for
the last 80 years. Instead, we must build on it.
Renewal. Renewal today starts with security. The
United Kingdom recognizes that the threats we
face demand a transformation in British defense.
That is why our country in order to be fit for
the future has committed to the biggest sustained
increase in defense spending since the Cold War.
During part of which over 50 years ago, I served
with immense pride in the Royal Navy, following
in the naval footsteps of my father, Prince
Philip Duke of Edinburgh, my grandfather, King
George V 6th, my great uncle, Lord Mountbatton,
and my great-grandfather, King George V. This
year of course also marks the 25th anniversary of
9/11. This atrocity was uh a defining moment for
America and your pain and shock were felt around
the whole world. During my visit to New York, uh
my wife and I will again pay our respects to the
victims, the families, and the bravery shown in
the face of terrible loss. We stood with you then
and we stand with you now in solemn remembrance
of a day that shall never be forgotten. In the
immediate aftermath of 9/11, when NATO invoked
Article 5 for the first time and the United
Nations Security Council was united in the face
of terror, we answered the call together as our
people have done so for more than a century,
shoulderto-shoulder through two world wars, the
Cold War, Afghanistan, and moments that have
defined our shared security. Today, Mr. Speaker,
that same unyielding resolve is needed for the
defense of Ukraine and her most courageous
people. It is needed in order to secure a truly
just and lasting peace. From the depths of the
Atlantic to the disastrously melting ice caps of
the Arctic, the commitment and expertise of the
United States armed forces and its allies lie at the heart of NATO.

West’s destruction of Middle East. Middle East
local communities good. Communal living in
Beirut Growing numbers of young people opt for
shared homes in order to afford living in Beirut,
experiencing a different lifestyle – and freedom
The realm of beit mouchtarak (communal living),
bringing mostly students and young professionals
together, has been expanding in Beirut.
Increasing rents but also expanding the prospect
of freedoms that living at home does not provide,
communal living has attracted more and more young
people and couples.
the most sought-after – and costly because they
are located in hip areas with rooms priced $300
to $700 and above per month – are those close to
universities and nightlife: Hamra, Gemmayzeh, Mar
Mikhael and Achrafieh. Top priorities are
avoiding nearby construction sites and finding
(around-the-clock) electricity, wi-fi, air
conditioning, parking and nice co-habitants in
addition to personal liberties. Many locals,
though, struggle to afford Beirut: “U want 3
months = $2700 + deposit $900 + broker fees $900,
which adds up to a total of $4500 – seriously!”
an angry woman recently posted in response to an
estate agent’s offer on Facebook. Living spaces
and flatmates are often found within social
networks. There are dozens of groups on Facebook,
and through notes and posts put up in strategic
places such as university notice boards or in
cafes, in emails that circulate, waseet
(classifieds) or through friends. Many set-ups
bring together people who previously were
strangers. “Whenever I shared a flat with friends
it would be the continuation of a story we both
knew. The only difference would be tackling the
new-found issues like hygiene, smoking indoors
incompatibility, pets, etc,” Natheer Halawani,
30, said. “But when it came to strangers, I would
instantly take a stranger over somebody I knew.”
Nadia Younes, 27, a veteran in communal living,
has effectively done so. “In the past two years,
I have met three out of the five roommates I have
had in my current flat from the apartments on the
Beirut [Facebook] page,” she told MEE. She checks
candidates’ Facebook pages before making up her
mind. Younes is clear about what she will and
won’t put up with. “I simply expect them to
respect the shared living space,” she put
forward. “And to be able to share in
responsibilities for the flat such as paying
bills, talking to the natour [concierge],
flipping the switch for the generator, cleaning
the bathroom and kitchen and to contribute to
general expenses.” She also insists on courtesy,
which includes general greetings and to be given
a little notice before groups of friends come

and bathroom, with dirty dishes, clogged up
drains, toilet seats left up, smoking rules – and
rules in general. “We had very strict rules for
cleaning up the shared spaces and were more lax
about sharing the cost of living as we were both
on very limited allowance from our parents,”
Nathalie Diab, 32, recalled of her Achrafieh
student commune. Halawani also believed in rules:
“We had many rules. What worked best was having
one main tenant that would take care of
everything including bills. Usually this would
result in the main tenant paying less.” Harb,
however, in one flat stopped enforcing the rules.
“It was too much emotional energy spent. And as a
result, I am no longer friends with the girls I used to live with.”

Stabbing of Jews in Golders Green – 48,000
stabbings annually. Why are there so many
stabbings in Britain? A total of 51,527 knife
crime offenses were recorded in England and Wales
in the 12 months up until June 2025, excluding
the region of Greater Manchester, according to
the UK’s Office of National Statistics (data is
recorded differently in Manchester).
these offenses, 196 were homicides, the ONS said.
Notably, the overall number of recorded knife
crime offenses in the year leading up to June
2025 fell 5% when compared with the year before.
While the issue of knife crime is a “serious
social concern,” it “should not be a source of
moral hysteria,” Iain Overton, executive director
of the non-governmental organization Action on
Armed Violence told CNN on Monday. In the year
leading up to March 2024, 570 homicides took
place in England and Wales, according to ONS,
with 262 homicides committed using a knife or
other sharp instrument. The most commonly used
instrument in these homicides was a kitchen
knife, ONS said. Shooting killed only 22 of the
victims. A total of 64 teenagers aged between 13
and 19 were killed in this time frame, ONS said,
with 83% of these victims being killed by a knife
or sharp instrument. Because not all knife crime
offenses are reported to police, hospital data
can also help in understanding the extent of the
issue. From April 2024 to 2025, there were 3,494
instances in which patients were admitted to
hospital in England for assault by sharp object,
according to NHS England data. Nearly 90% of
patients treated were male, with 16% of patients
aged 18 or under. Scotland and Northern Ireland
record crime separately to England and Wales. A
total of 28 homicides were committed by sharp
instrument in Scotland from 2023 to 2024, and
four in Northern Ireland in the same time frame.
In the United States, a total of 1,704 people
were killed by a “cut” or “pierce” in 2023,
according to the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC). This type of crime is the
result of “an incision, slash, perforation, or
puncture by a pointed or sharp instrument,
weapon, or object,” according to US public
service organization The National Safety Council.

Latest news, Press Releases and Statements In the
wake of the horrific antisemitic attack in

rushed to falsely characterise the marches for
Palestine and to call for them to be suspended.
These calls dangerously conflate Jewish people
with the state of Israel and peaceful political
protest with unconnected violent acts. We utterly
reject both. On Saturday 16 May we will march in
London for the annual commemoration of the Nakba
– the catastrophe inflicted on the Palestinians
by Israel since 1948. We will march in opposition
to the British government’s complicity in
Israel’s well-documented ethnic cleansing,
apartheid, and genocide. This year, we will also
march against Tommy Robinson and his far-right
supporters mobilising on the same day. The
organisers of the demonstration are fascists,
racists, and islamophobes who have espoused the
antisemitic great replacements theory. As always,
our march will involve thousands of Jewish people
– many of them proudly displaying their Jewish
identity – as part of the Jewish Bloc, as
organisers and platform speakers. By bringing
together people from all backgrounds and walks of
life, we will reaffirm opposition to all forms of
racism including anti-Palestinian racism,
antisemitic, and Islamophobia. The right to

New UK Ambassador to US, after Mandelson,
Christian Turner, says Israel has special
relationship with US, not UK. Epstein scandal.
America’s special relationship is ‘probably
Israel’, says UK ambassador to US In leaked
remarks, Christian Turner also says it is
‘extraordinary’ that Epstein scandal has not
affected sex offender’s US associates Britain’s
ambassador to Washington has said that America’s
only “special relationship” is “probably Israel”,
not the UK, in remarks that risk embarrassing
King Charles during his visit to the US this
week. <https://archive.is/WYYh2>Sir Christian
Turner also criticised America’s political system
for failing to hold US associates of the sex
offender Jeffrey Epstein to account, saying it
was “extraordinary” that the scandal “hasn’t
touched anybody” in the US. He noted that, by
contrast, senior British figures, including his
predecessor as ambassador Lord Peter Mandelson
and “potentially the prime minister”, had been
“brought down” by the affair. A recording of the
remarks, made in mid-February at an event with UK
students visiting Washington, shortly after
Turner started in post, was shared with the FT
this week. In comments that are outspoken for a
senior diplomat, he said UK Prime Minister Sir
Keir Starmer had been “on the ropes” earlier this
year from the fallout over the appointment of
Mandelson, and that the Labour Party could
“remove” him after local elections in May. During
a question-and-answer session, Turner said he
disliked the phrase “special relationship” to
describe Anglo-American ties, complaining that it
was “quite nostalgic, it’s quite
backwards-looking, and it has a lot of baggage
about it”. He added: “I think there is probably
one country that has a special relationship with
the United States and that is probably Israel.”
The comments were made in the weeks running up to
the US-Israeli strikes on Iran that began the
current conflict in the Middle East. Turner said
that London’s link to Washington was nonetheless
“so strong”, adding: “There is a deep history and
affinity between us. Particularly on defence and
security, we are intertwined.” But he added that:
“The relationship will carry on, if you want,
being ‘special’, but I think it’s going to have
to be different.” Britain and the rest of Europe
must “work to redefine” the relationship,
particularly on defence grounds, instead of
relying <https://archive.is/WYYh2>on a US
security umbrella, he said. The UK also needed to
make clear what it brought to the table in the
bilateral relationship, he said. Turner answered
questions about the Epstein scandal and the
contrast in how it had played out on either side
of the Atlantic. He said it appeared to him
“extraordinary” that the scandal over the
convicted sex offender had “brought down a senior
member of the royal family [Andrew
Mountbatten-Windsor], a British ambassador to
Washington, potentially the prime minister, and
yet here in the US, it really hasn’t touched
anybody”. He said it was an “interesting
question” about the “different levels of
accountability in our systems”. The remarks have
come to light ahead of the King’s address to
Congress on Tuesday afternoon, as he and Queen
Camilla undertake a four-day state visit to the
US, which will also take in New York. The King
and Queen have resisted intense pressure from
campaigners and US congressman Ro Khanna to meet
some of Epstein’s victims while in the country.
The royal visit has been regarded by British
government figures as a salve for the bilateral
relationship at a time of severe strain following
US President Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on
Starmer and criticism of Britain for refusing to
offer more support to the US-Israel war against
Iran. During his speech at the welcome ceremony
for the British royals, Trump hailed the two
nations’ “unique bond and role in history”,
calling it “the essence of our special
relationship, and we hope it will always remain
that way”. Turner acknowledged that US
legislators aimed to “bring to account some of
those senior figures” associated with Epstein,
including inviting Mandelson and
Mountbatten-Windsor to testify before Congress.
However, he added: “How many Americans have been
called to testify before Congress when the
Epstein files show very, very senior people,
politicians, business folks, Bill Gates, all
having a close association with Epstein?” Since
Turner’s remarks, Gates, the Turning to the
appointment and subsequent sacking of Mandelson,
Turner said the saga was a “crisis” that “has
nearly brought down the government and ended the
prime minister’s tenure”. The diplomat said of
Starmer’s premiership earlier in February that
“at one stage he was pretty clearly on the ropes”
and his future looked “quite touch and go”. The
Labour Party’s rules set a high threshold to
remove a sitting prime minister, Turner noted,
highlighting that it required 80 MPs to “sign a
letter in public, which is like signing a death
warrant”. Reaching such a bar was “still quite
difficult” and Starmer was “a stubborn guy” who
would be unlikely to quit, the ambassador said.
However, he added: “The moment I would look to is
the May elections. If Labour does very badly . .
. I suspect the party will be able to go over
that threshold and remove him seems to me to be
the conventional thinking.” He added: “If they do
OK, he might carry on going . . . That’s just for
me as a citizen speculating because I have to
serve whomever is there.” Turner offered his view
of the key issue governing Mandelson’s
appointment, saying “the vetting thing’s a bit of
a red herring”. “The problem was he had a bunch
of associations that were embarrassing to him and
the government that had not been revealed,” he
added. “And, arguably, once they were uncovered,
the prime minister moved to sack him.” Turner’s
comments were never intended as public statements
of government policy, UK officials stressed. Sir
Peter Westmacott, a previous UK ambassador to the
US, defended Turner. He told the FT: “It can be
embarrassing when remarks intended for a private
audience are made public, but I see no reason why
what he said to a group of students a couple of
months ago need affect his ability to continue
the excellent start he has made in DC.” A
Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office
spokesperson said: “These were private, informal
comments made to a group of UK sixth-form
students visiting the US in early February. They
are certainly not any reflection of the UK government’s position.”

Ex- UK Ambassador to Syria and Bahrain, Peter
Ford – US, Israel special relationship – was
Mandelson appointed to cover secrets – the key
point in in what the ambassador said was that the
only country that had a special relationship was
Israel. Um, and uh, I think the Israelis would
have had an interest in in leaking this um, this
tit um, put the boot into the UK to u unsettle
uh, us and to assert their own standing uh,
because Israel is a jealous lover that does not
tolerate a third party in bed with itself and the
United states and we witnessed during the recent
visit uh just a few days ago in Congress uh
Congress rose to its feet in a standing ovation
12 times for Charles. A few months ago they rose
to their feet standing ovation for Netanyahu 53
times. I think that uh makes it fairly clear
who’s special in the eyes of Washington.
Well, interesting way to look at it. And you’re
you’re quite right about the numbers, too. Uh but
but you know, you’re talking about us being
abused in the UK by the United States. It doesn’t
look like that, does it? When you look at uh King
Charles and Donald Trump, it looks as if King
Charles is cocking a snook at Trump and he’s
somehow superior. In fact, he’s actually uh
gently insulting Trump um and correcting him uh
almost like a sort of grandfather figure. Uh so
it doesn’t quite square with what you’re saying
about Britain being a sort of lesser partner
here. Look, Tony, Charles should not have gone
there. Should never have gone there. He’s doing
Trump an enormous favor by even going there. Uh
the small price that Trump is paying is to
tolerate Charles’s m Charles’s mild uh chiding of
him. He’s got the big prize. The king of England,
the king of England, for Evan’s sake, has visited
the monster of the White House, who is fresh from
uh waging illegitimate war in the Middle East, uh
who has been talking about destroying
civilizations. I mean, the idea that the British
monarch should dream of going there. I mean, it’s
like, well, I’m sorry I have to drag Hitler
[laughter] in here, but the parallel is so
obvious. If the king of England had thought that
he’d visit Germany in the immediate aftermath of
Germany’s uh [clears throat] invasion of
Czechoslovakia, uh it would have been unthinkable
and it should similarly have been unthinkable for
Charles. It it’s demeaning again. It’s pathetic.
He He’s not my king. He’s not our king by going
to pay court to the emperor of America. He should
never have gone. He should They the monarchy
isn’t useful for much. But they could the
monarchy could have struck a blow for everything
that is decent and right by by doing nothing, by
just not going to America. Now, uh the headlines
uh change from time to time. You get a headline
and you know half an hour later it’s changed, an
hour later it’s changed again. That’s the way of
the internet. It’s not like the old newspapers
once it’s in print that’s it. Uh and one of the
independent headlines uh this week as yesterday
was uh the king’s US visit palace responds after
Trump claims Charles supports the US Iran war.
Now this is after their little quiet chitchat
behind the scenes. I mean, on the surface of it,
it looks as if um this is something that that
Trump is just kind of blurting out because he
likes to do this. Um where he maybe was supposed
to be keeping his mouth shut. Do you think that
Charles, it’s possible Charles did say to him
that quietly that Britain does support him? Uh
it’s all playing with words. I’ve no doubt that
Charles was briefed to say that um while u the
British government may have expressed some disqu
uh we do of course support the objective of um
bringing of preventing Iran from ever having a
nuclear weapon and that is British policy. That
is British policy right or or wrong. Um, but I
think Trump as always uh twisted it uh to give
the impression that Charles supported his
launching the war uh which I I’m 99% certain
Charles uh did not say he supported. He would not
have departed from his brief in that way.

BREACH OF PROTOCOL, THE FLY ON THE WALL? After
confidential meeting Trump tells press King
Charles told him the UK supported his war on
Iran. Trump defied protocol by relaying details
of private chat with king. A state dinner
honouring King Charles III and Queen Camilla was
overshadowed by an unexpected diplomatic
disclosure as President Donald Trump claimed the
British monarch had privately agreed with him on
Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
comments, made during Tuesday’s event, sparked
mild consternation among UK pundits, highlighting
a significant breach of royal protocol. Speaking
to attendees, Trump recounted a private meeting
earlier in the day, stating: “We’re doing a
little Middle East work right now … and we’re
doing very well.” He continued, “We have
militarily defeated that particular opponent, and
we’re never going to let that opponent ever
Charles agrees with me, even more than I do
we’re never going to let that opponent have a
nuclear weapon.” While the sentiment regarding
Iran might resonate with many Britons, publicly
relaying a private conversation with the
sovereign is unusual. British convention dictates
such discussions remain confidential, partly to
ensure the monarch stays above the political
fray. Crucially, the King cannot publicly engage
in debate or correct the record if misquoted,
making such disclosures particularly sensitive.
Craig Prescott, an expert on constitutional law
and the monarchy at Royal Holloway, University of
London, underscored the gravity of the situation.
“Generally, as a matter of protocol, I think I
would expect discussions between heads of state
to be sort of behind the scenes, in those closed
meetings, for those to be sort of kept private,”
he said. “And, you know, this was something that
the U.K. government wanted to avoid.” The
incident occurred amid considerable apprehension
surrounding the King’s US trip. The visit,
carefully choreographed by the UK government,
aimed partly to mend a rift from Trump’s
frustration with Prime Minister Keir Starmer over
his stance on the Iran war. The hope was that
warm relations between the King and Trump, who
seems to love all things royal, could help bridge
diplomatic divides. However, Trump’s
unconventional leadership style and penchant for
breaking protocol had raised concerns about
potential missteps. Buckingham Palace swiftly
issued a statement to provide context, asserting:
“The King is naturally mindful of his
government’s long-standing and well-known
position on the prevention of nuclear
proliferation.” Prescott noted that the central
concern had always been Trump’s unpredictable
nature. “In a sense, this was always the issue,
just what Trump would do or say would he put
the king in an embarrassing position,” he said,
adding, “You always had that sort of issue of
what he would post on social media. And I think,
you know, this could have been much, much worse.”
Prior to the state dinner, King Charles delivered
a speech to a joint session of the US Congress,
receiving repeated standing ovations. His address
celebrated the enduring bonds between the two
nations while acknowledging differences on issues
such as Nato, support for Ukraine, and the need to combat climate change…

convoys take the completed warheads from
Burghfield north to Coulport on Loch Long, north
of Glasgow. At Loch Long the carriers are
unloaded and the warheads placed in underground
bunkers in the Trident Area. When required they
are taken to the Explosive Handling Jetty at

frequency of convoys varies but is usually around
six a year. The MOD prefers convoys to travel on
motorways and A roads but at either end of the
route they must use smaller roads. Not all roads
are passable due to the great weight of the
convoy trucks. There is an eastern route, mainly
relying on the A1(M), and a western route using
the M6/M74, although they sometimes go across

occasionally elsewhere. IMPORTANT : Remember

Big Tech in US – Theosophy – Theosophy: The
Hidden Religion of the Global Ruling Class How
Theosophy infiltrated the UN, Big Tech, and
wellness culture to pave the way for a one-world
faith You have heard of Marxism. You have heard
of Darwin. You have heard of Freud. Christians
have spilled oceans of ink warning about their
corrosive impact on Western civilisation. But you
have probably never heard of Theosophy. That
ignorance is not an accident.
is the hidden religion of the ruling class, the
occult philosophy that has quietly shaped
everything from global governance to New Age
mysticism to technocratic utopianism. And it is
not simply a philosophy. It is a demonic
counterfeit of Christianity. If the average
churchgoer understood what Theosophy was and
where it leads, they would recognize that the
world religion of the End Times is already here,
slowly tightening its grip. The remarkable thing
is that nobody tells you this. Your pastors are
silent. The so-called Christian intellectuals
waste their breath chasing partisan politics. And
the mainstream press dismisses it as the hobby of
spiritual cranks. Yet here at Insight to Incite,
I pull the curtain back. I show you that behind
the bland smiles of global bureaucrats and the
gentle marketing of meditation apps lies an old
religion whispering through the centuries. When
Scripture warns that “in later times some will
depart from the faith, devoting themselves to
deceitful spirits and teachings of demons” (1
Timothy 4:1), this is what it looks like
Theosophy began in the late nineteenth century
with Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, a Russian mystic
who claimed to receive
<https://insighttoincite.substack.com/p/theosophy-the-hidden-religion-of>revelations
from “ascended masters.” She wrote fat volumes
like Isis Unveiled and The Secret Doctrine which
were less books than grimoires, channeled
collections of demon-speech. Blavatsky presented
herself as a wise woman unveiling a secret gospel
hidden for centuries. In reality, she was
constructing a demonic system of religion that
fused Hindu reincarnation, Buddhist
enlightenment, gnostic mysticism, and occult
spiritism into one grand counterfeit. Theosophy
taught that mankind is evolving through
successive “root races.” Each cycle is overseen
by these ascended masters, spiritual beings who
supposedly guide the progress of humanity toward
godhood. There is no need for Christ or His cross
in this system. Redemption is not found in His
blood but in endless cycles of reincarnation,
climbing higher and higher through spiritual
ladders until man becomes divine. It is Genesis 3
recycled, the serpent whispering again that “you
shall be like gods.” Theosophy baptized this lie
in exotic terminology, pulling from India and
Tibet to make it sound ancient and noble. It
spoke of karma, cosmic brotherhood, and hidden
wisdom reserved for initiates. It sounded
profound, but it was the same old demonic lie
with a new mask. In its pages, Satan himself is
recast not as the enemy of mankind but as the
liberator of light. Blavatsky once wrote, “It is
Satan who is the god of our planet and the only
god.” These are not scholarly curiosities. They
are the blueprint of Antichrist religion. The
genius of Theosophy was that it built a
comprehensive theology to rival Christianity. It
had a doctrine of creation, where divine sparks
were scattered into matter. It had a doctrine of
sin, where ignorance and attachment to
materiality trapped us in cycles of
reincarnation. It had a doctrine of salvation,
where spiritual elites revealed esoteric
knowledge to help mankind ascend. And it had a
doctrine of eschatology, where a final
enlightened race would usher in an age of unity
and brotherhood. It was a parallel gospel. A
false kingdom with false apostles and false
promises. Yet unlike many heresies, it was never
content to live in the shadows. Theosophy
deliberately sought cultural influence. It wanted
schools, political movements, publishing houses,
and global organizations. Blavatsky’s successors
such as Annie Besant, Rudolf Steiner, and Alice
Bailey all pushed these ideas into the
bloodstream of Western civilization. Bailey even
founded the Lucifer Publishing Company, later
renamed Lucis Trust, which remains embedded
inside the United Nations to this day. What began
as a séance in a Russian parlor became a movement
that could whisper into the ears of statesmen,
educators, and media elites. And it continues to this hour…

Accelerating towards Armageddon as a religious
idea – the Samson Doctrine – the Shock Doctrine –
New Leak Reveals Israel’s ‘Samson Option’
Includes American Cities on Nuclear Target List A
trove of documents released this week, reportedly
obtained through a cyberattack on Israeli
military intelligence servers, appears to confirm
long-speculated claims about Israel’s “Samson
Option”a last-resort nuclear strategy to destroy
the world if Israeli existence is threatened.
the most alarming revelations: a list of nuclear
targets that includes major cities in the United
States and Europe. The files were reportedly
released by Iranian cyber operatives and are
currently being examined by multiple Western
intelligence agencies. If authenticated, the
materials could have profound implications for
global diplomacy and nuclear stability. According
to security analysts who have reviewed the leaked
documents, cities identified in the alleged
target list include New York, Washington, D.C.,
Los Angeles, and the NORAD command center in
Colorado. Also named are Brussels, Paris, Berlin,
Moscow, Beijing, and Tehran. The documents
outline a doctrine of “mutual destruction not
limited to direct aggressors,” implying that
nations deemed complicit or passively supportive
of Israel’s hypothetical demise could also be
targeted. The “Samson Option” Explained Named
after the biblical figure Samsonwho brought down
a temple, killing himself and his enemiesthe
doctrine has long been rumored but never
officially acknowledged by Israeli authorities.
It’s understood by some defense analysts as a
form of extreme nuclear deterrence, aimed at
preventing any coalition from attempting to
eliminate the Israeli state. “This is not
traditional deterrence,” said one senior NATO
defense advisor speaking on background. “It
resembles a diplomatic suicide vest. If the files
are real, it shows Israel is prepared to take the
rest of the world down with it in the event of existential collapse.”…

Police State UK: Met Police Commissioner wants
ZIO-COPS on London streets – takes on political
role. Extra armed Police to protect Jews. Is
Iran, US war continuing over weekend? Met chief:
We need special police force to protect Jews Sir
Mark Rowley proposes government-funded unit to
tackle anti-Semitism ‘epidemic’ The Metropolitan
Police needs a new specialist force to protect
Jewish people from “a pandemic of anti-Semitism”
in the wake of the Golders Green
attack,<https://archive.is/GZMER#selection-2143.4-3623.61>
Sir Mark Rowley has said. On Friday, the Met
Commissioner said he had submitted a proposal to
Shabana Mahmood, the Home Secretary, for the
Government to fund a permanent unit of about 300
extra neighbourhood and armed officers to combat
the “epidemic” of anti-Semitism. He said it was
not “sustainable” for his force to be “dragging”
officers and resources from other parts of London
to protect the community after the stabbing of
two Jewish men in north London on Wednesday and a
surge in arson attacks on synagogues and other
Jewish organisations. Sir Mark said he was
considering whether to seek to ban two marches
next month, one pro-Palestinian and one
anti-immigration. It came as Essa Suleiman, 45, a
Somali-born British man, was charged with
attempted murder over the Golders Green attacks.
He was Tasered and arrested by police on
Wednesday. “We’re facing a building pandemic of
anti-Semitism in society,” said Sir Mark. “My
problem is we’re dealing with the policing. We’re
dealing with the symptoms of that disease. We
need work done to tackle those attitudes in
society which are far too prevalent. “But I need
the strength in my resources to be able to tackle
those symptoms to best effect and reassure Jewish
communities that we’re doing everything possible
to keep them safe.” Sir Mark said the extra
officers would require “sizeable” annual funding
from the Home Office, larger than the £25m
announced on Thursday to boost policing and other
community measures. The money would expand
neighbourhood policing teams in Jewish
communities, create a new community policing hub
and increase teams of detectives to speed up hate
crime investigations. This year, the Met has been
forced to cut 1,700 officers, police community
support officers and staff after it was left with
a £260m funding black hole. Sir Mark continued:
“We need to target those most at risk. The Jewish
community suffers far more hate crimes per capita
than any other community in London. We’re going
to tip more resources towards it, and we need
government support to make that sustainable.”…

Last hereditary peers given marching orders. Does
removing hereditary peers from the Lords benefit
Britain? A seismic moment in UK political history
has passed with barely a whimper – A thousand
years of history has ended with nothing much more
in the way of ceremonial pomp and circumstance
than a short speech by a former minister in the
Thatcher government, Michael Forsyth, now speaker
of the House of Lords, and an appreciative post
on X by the leader of the opposition, Kemi
Badenoch. And so, with the end of this session of
parliament, the remaining hereditary peers have
finally departed their gilded chamber with its
red benches and royal thrones, no longer
legislators for the common
people.<https://archive.is/D5wl3#selection-1523.0-1536.0>
It’s a moment, as they say, if a muted one. Some
115 years after the first serious assault on
their privileges, what Lloyd George called “Mr
Balfour’s poodle” because of its obedience to the
wishes of the then Tory party leader, has been
finally euthanised. What have we gained? Well, it
has to be said that the House of Lords is no more
democratic now than it was before, and it is now
a wholly appointed chamber – no one has elected
any of them. The 2024 Labour manifesto promised
an “immediate modernisation” to “remove the right
of hereditary peers to sit and vote in the House
of Lords”. However, not much seems to be
happening on “replacing the House of Lords with
an alternative second chamber that is more
representative of the regions and nations”.
Certain Labour peers have also objected to the
mandatory retirement age of 80, because they’ve
only really just got going. What have we lost?
Undeniably an incredible, almost unbroken, thread
of history. Interrupted only by the relatively
brief Cromwellian Commonwealth in the 1660s,
there has been some sort of assembly of “nobles”
to advise the monarch since the 11th-century
Witan – “an Anglo-Saxon political body made up of
councils consulted by Saxon kings and attended by
religious leaders, magnates and the king’s
ministers”, according to the official
parliamentary record. The oldest peerage with a
seat in the Lords until this week could be said
to be that of the Lord Great Chamberlain, created
in 1126. Some of the various peers that have now
departed argue that the public service their
families have furnished over centuries gives them
a stake in the nation’s fortunes and a truly
long-term vision of what the country is all
about. Aside from such mysticism and
sentimentality, some of the hereditaries brought
expertise to the role and took their job of
lifelong legislators and defenders of the
constitution seriously. It is certainly striking
to see, until now, familiar names from history,
in the form of their descendants, still playing a
role on the national stage – the Duke of
Wellington, Lord Russell, Viscount Astor, Earl Attlee and so on….

Ousting of Iranian Shah in 1979 not all it seems?
article. Were BP behind the 1979 Iranian
revolution? William Engdahl book on Shah. At the
time, the Shah was negotiating a 25-year oil
agreement with British Petroleum (BP), but talks
broke down in October. BP demanded exclusive
rights to future Iranian output but refused to
guarantee oil purchases. The Shah balked and was
on the verge of independently seeking new buyers
with eager ones lined up in Germany, France,
Japan and elsewhere. Washington and London were
alarmed and acted.
implemented destabilization plans, starting with
cutting Iranian oil purchases. Economic pressures
followed, and trained US and UK agitators
exacerbated them by fanning religious discontent
and overall turmoil. Oil strikes as well were
used. They crippled production and made things
worse. American security advisors recommended
Iran’s Savak secret police use repressive tactics
to maximize antipathy to the Shah. The Carter
administration cynically protested human rights
abuses, and BBC correspondents exaggerated
anti-Shah protests to rev up hysteria against
him. At the same time, it gave Khomeini an open
platform to speak and prevented the Shah from
replying. Things came to a head in January, 1979
when he fled the country, and Khomeini returned
to Tehran and proclaimed a theocratic state.
Chaos was unleashed, and by May the new regime
cancelled plans for further nuclear reactor
development. At the same time, Iran’s oil exports
were cut off, and the Saudis inexplicably cut
their own in January. Spot prices skyrocketed,
and a second oil shock ensued that was as
deviously conceived as the first one. Then it got
worse. In October, newly appointed Fed Chairman
Paul Volker unleashed a new scheme that turned
calamity into catastrophe by design. It was a
radical new monetary policy on the pretext of
“squeezing inflation out of the system.” In fact,
it was made-in-Washington fraud to preserve
dollar hegemony, make it the world’s most sought
currency, and crush industrial growth to let
political and financial power prop up dollar
strength. Volker succeeded by raising interest
rates from 10% to 16% and finally 20% in weeks.
World policy makers were stunned, economies
plunged into the deepest recession since the
1930s, and the dollar began an extraordinary five
year ascent. The combined effect of oil and
Volker shocks took “the bloom off the nuclear
rose” and ended its threat to Anglo-American oil
supremacy. And if more was needed it came on
March 28, 1979 in the middle of Pennsylvania at a
place called Three Mile Island. Conveniently, at
the same time The China Syndrome was released
that fictionalized the ongoing event. The
combined effect was public hysteria, and later
investigation revealed critical valves had
illegally been closed. In addition, FEMA
controlled all news to create panic. The scheme
worked, and Anglo-American supremacy was
reasserted over the industrial and financial
world. Nothing is stable forever, however, and
within a decade new rumblings would be felt.

Toxic waste on Duchy Estate land in
Wigan. King’s private estate tried to sell land
with UK’s ‘worst illegal waste dump’ to council
KING Charles’s private estate tried to sell land
that was contaminated with a large rotting
illegal waste dump to a local authority, it has
emerged. In January, a 25,000-ton site described
as the UK’s “worst illegal waste dump” in
Bickershaw, Wigan, was revealed to be largely on
land owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, the King’s
extensive private portfolio of properties and
estates. Previously, the Duchy said it had
offered to transfer the land to Wigan Council in
July last year.
a Freedom of Information Request by Channel 4
News found that the Duchy tried to sell the site
to the local authority at full market price. The
Duchy previously claimed that it is, in effect,
exempt from regulations and duties to clean the
site on account of an ancient feudal legal
framework dating back some 750 years. Then in
February, following revelations that the toxic
illegal landfill was largely on the Duchy’s land,
the estate followed up the offer to the council,
offering to transfer the land for free. “We have
discussed the matter with the Duchy Solicitor,
who has confirmed the Duchy will transfer the
property to the Council for nil value and with
each party bearing their own costs in the hope
that that will assist the Council in dealing with
the property in conjunction with its own
adjoining land,” the Duchy wrote. In the revealed
correspondence, emails from the Duchy’s
solicitors, Farrer & Co, show, in addition to the
transfer offer, that the Duchy attempted to sell
the contaminated land at market value to the
council. In July, the Duchy reportedly wrote: “…
it may be possible to sell the land to you. Any
sale would have to be at open market value and
the Duchy of Lancaster’s valuers, and our costs
would have to be paid as well.” Wigan Council
told Channel 4 News on Monday that it
“respectfully declined” the Duchy’s offer. A
Duchy of Lancaster spokesperson told Channel 4
News: “We continue to work with Wigan Council to
try and find an effective resolution to the
illegal waste site.” Last month, Greater
Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said that the
Duchy’s plan to hand contaminated land to the
local council is “not an acceptable response”.
The UK Government has since announced it will
fund the clean-up of the Wigan site, although it has yet to begin…
