first in the country to be community-owned is set
to double in size after being gifted a second
farm.

Organic Farm, near Market Drayton, became
England’s first community-owned farm in 2006,
after a national campaign saved it from
industrial development. Faced with eviction in
2005, the family behind the farm raised enough
money through 8,000 non-profit shareholders to
purchase the 126-acre site. Since then, the farm
has thrived under the leadership of tenant farmer
Ben Hollins and his sister Charlotte – children
of Arthur Hollins who turned the farm organic.
Now, Fordhall Farm has announced that it will
double in size thanks to the generous donation of
a second farm – but there’s a twist. The farm
that is being gifted is not in Market Drayton,
nor is it in Shropshire, but incredibly, 200
miles away in Devon. West Town Farm, near Exeter,
is a 170-acre organic beef and sheep enterprise.
Like Fordhall, it hosts a wide range of community
activities including arts, community gardening,
camping, weddings and community events, and also
boasts a farm shop. Its current owner, Andy
Bragg, said he believes that farms should be at
the “heart of rural communities”, and, as he
approaches retirement, has decided to gift the
farm to the Fordhall Community Land Initiative to
ensure that West Town’s community ethos
continues. Charlotte Hollins, General Manager at
Fordhall Community Land Initiative said: “The
similarities between West Town and Fordhall are
striking. Both are organic, pasture-for-life
livestock farms and have community at our heart.

on course to be prime minister, according to a
seat-by-seat YouGov poll which reveals the scale
of Conservative implosion. The YouGov MRP polling
projection, based on a 13,000 sample taken over
the last three weeks, suggests an election held
tomorrow would see a hung parliament with Reform
UK winning 311 of the 650 seats, 15 seats short
of the formal winning line of 326. In practice,
once the Speaker and absent Sinn Fein MPs are
accounted for, it would be all but impossible for
anyone other than Mr Farage to secure the largest
number of MP backers and thus become prime
minister. Reform UK has improved its position
since the last YouGov MRP in June, when it was 55
seats short of a majority. The projection
suggests 306 Reform gains, up from their current
seat tally of five, which would be the biggest
increase in any election in British history. The
projection of Commons seats in Great Britain puts
Reform UK on 311 seats, Labour on 144 seats,
Liberal Democrats on 78 seats, Conservatives on
45 seats, SNP on 37 seats and Greens on seven
seats, with Plaid on six seats and three seats
won by left-wing challengers. Northern Ireland
constituencies are excluded. Barely a year after
Keir Starmer won a landslide, this result would
see Labour lose around two-thirds of their
existing seats, down from the 411 they won in
last year’s general election. This is
significantly worse than the party’s 2019 result
under Jeremy Corbyn when the party won 202 seats
and is their lowest tally since 1931. More than a
third of Labour’s remaining seats would be in
London, making them more reliant on London than
any other British party is on any other nation or
region. Among the big-name casualties would be
Yvette Cooper, Wes Streeting, Ed Miliband,
Bridget Phillipson, Lisa Nandy and Angela Rayner.
The Conservatives would fare even worse, pushed
potentially to the brink of extinction. They
would lose two-thirds of their 121 seats won last
year – which was already their worst result in
their 190-year modern history – reducing their
tally to 45 seats. And even further back, it
would be worse than any result they’ve ever
suffered, all the way back to the formation of
their predecessor party, the Tory Party in the
1670s. This would put the Tories in fourth place
behind the Lib Dems, and the first time they have
not been one of the two biggest parties. The
Conservatives would be wiped out in both Wales
and the South West, a heartland as recently as
2015, and left with just six seats in the north
and one in Scotland. Robert Jenrick, Priti Patel,
James Cleverly and Mel Stride could be among the
casualties. Almost 60% of their current front bench would lose their seats.

scrapping the need for local consent. A review
has been launched by the Department for Energy
Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), which could scrap
the need for public votes when building storage
facilities for radioactive material. It came as
Rachel Reeves vowed to “take the fight” to locals
who oppose redevelopment to unlock economic
growth. The Chancellor told The Telegraph she
would ignore pressure from campaigners who wish
to block new development in her attempt to get
the economy unstuck. A search is under way to
find a coastal location to host the UK’s first
geological disposal facility (GDF), a vast
network of tunnels and vaults that would extend
under the sea and be used to store spent fuel
from nuclear power plants. There is currently no
permanent site for the disposal of highly
radioactive waste in Britain, and only some
places are suitable due to the need for the
facilities to remain intact over thousands of
years. But the search has moved slowly in the
face of strong local opposition in potential
locations and concerns inside the Treasury that
the plans are unaffordable. Opposition from
residents and councils is a particularly
significant roadblock because the Government’s
policy is to only proceed with a scheme that has
secured local consent. However, officials in the
DESNZ have now begun a review of that policy, The
Telegraph understands. A Whitehall source
stressed that no decisions had been made but
acknowledged that one potential outcome was that
other factors could be prioritised over local
support, such as the favourableness of local
geology or the cost to the national purse. They
said the review was prompted by recent decisions
of councils in Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire to
pull out of talks with Nuclear Waste Services,
the quango tasked with delivering the GDF. Talks
are still ongoing with local authorities in
Cumbria, where there is greater local support.
The source added: “There’s a review going on of
how the whole policy works – every option is
being looked at again. “The policy currently says
there has to be a vote in each area before
anything can go ahead and that local authorities
can effectively veto proposals as well. “Now
there are conversations about whether you need to
prioritise other things, like which area has the
best geology. This is a national infrastructure
project and it has to be driven centrally.” The
review could mean that areas such as East
Lindsey, Lincolnshire, and South Holderness, East
Yorkshire, are considered for the waste facility once again.

family and my colleagues – all at the request of
Labour Together. ‘I could only assume they were
digging dirt to discredit me or my research. The
investigators were trying to find out how I was
getting all my information – not challenge its
accuracy.’ Labour Together and Mr Simons, MP for
Makerfield, near Wigan, declined to comment on
the claims. Mr Holden’s detailed allegations are
set out in his forthcoming book The Fraud, which
has already prompted the resignation of No 10
director of political strategy Paul Ovenden over
sexual remarks made about Diane Abbott, the
longstanding former Labour MP, now sitting as an
independent, who is an ex-girlfriend of former
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. The book is billed
as an exposure of the ‘intrigues, stratagems and
deceits’ that helped to propel Sir Keir into
Downing Street, with a particular focus on the
‘machinations’ made possible by Mr McSweeney’s
failure to disclose huge donations to the Labour
Together group, later credited for helping Sir
Keir’s leadership bid. After Mr McSweeney left
the campaign group to work for Sir Keir – he is
now the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff – Labour
Together was fined £14,250 for late declaration
of the donations. However, the thrust of Mr
Holden’s research is that the failure to declare
the cash on time was not down to ‘human error and
administrative oversight’ as claimed by the
think-tank. Rather, he claims it was potentially
a deliberate attempt by Mr McSweeney to hide the
donations later used to help propel Sir Keir into
a position to restore Labour after Mr Corbyn’s
Left-wing leadership. And that poses grave
questions over not just Mr McSweeney’s behaviour
but over the integrity and honesty of the Prime
Minister. South African-born Mr Holden said that
he was no stranger to the often murky world of
investigations, describing himself as someone who
had been probing ‘corruption and serious economic
crime’ for the last 15 years. That includes
investigating deep-seated corruption in his
native country when former President Jacob Zuma
was in power, inquiries so sensitive that he
thought it wise to relocate to the UK.

taking names of confidential sources. Police used
journalists’ phone data to detect leaks by staff,
report says

McCullough KC delivered his review of covert
police surveillance on Wednesday Concerns have
been raised over how the Police Service of
Northern Ireland (PSNI) used journalists’ phone
numbers to check for any leaks of information by
its officers or staff. A 200-page report also
revealed there were 21 unlawful uses of covert
powers to attempt to uncover reporters’ sources –
double the figure previously disclosed. Its
author, lawyer Angus McCullough KC, said he found
that the PSNI’s surveillance of journalists and
lawyers is not “widespread or systemic”. PSNI
Chief Constable Jon Boutcher said the report
“rightfully highlights that we have to improve
our processes, and we will”. Mr Boutcher said
that “blanket searching of journalists” stopped
in 2023, and “[would] not happen again”. In the
report, Mr McCullough was critical of “particular
instances” and “some areas of practice”. The
report covered PSNI surveillance practices
between 2011 and 2024. Last year, Mr McCullough
was asked to carry out an independent review by
Mr Boutcher. It followed legal action by
journalists Barry McCaffrey and Trevor Birney and
allegations that other journalists, and lawyers,
might have had their phones monitored. The PSNI
previously admitted 10 attempts to use the
communications data of journalists to try to
identify their sources. But the report found 21
instances, all pre-2015, which are “considered
unlawful” and which relate to eight journalists, including Mr McCaffrey.

Report was in Excalibur. The Labour Party was now
ahead of the Government, all the media outlets
and everybody else in terms of an ability to dig
out and cross reference statements in super-fast
time. That “Press Pack” At first the government
narrative had dominated the media. Alongside the
Scott Report they issued a “Press Pack” . Over 40
pages long, it was filled with crisp quotes and
selective extracts which were intended to “help”
journalists get to the heart of what the
Government wanted them to write. But Excalibur
swiftly enabled Labour to demolish their

The public argument started to be transformed.
This is what The Guardian leader said about the
Press Pack on 17th February. “Once upon a time
senior Whitehall press officers had sufficient
clout to intercede and require a government
minister to redraft statements or press releases
which contained inaccuracies or exaggerated
claims. Now it seems even the cabinet secretary
is powerless to intervene when desperate
ministers produce – and release under
departmental imprint – totally distorted
summaries of a crucial official inquiry. The
government’s press pack released with the report
contained 13 separate releases from government
departments each filled with fibs, fabrication,
falsehoods and just plain lies.” Elsewhere in the
paper that day Patrick Wintour reported as
follows “Labour and the Liberal Democrats
yesterday despatched a dossier of quotes from Sir
Richard Scott’s report on the arms-to-Iraq affair
to every Tory MP in an attempt to persuade them
of the extent of Sir Richard’s criticisms of the
Government. Labour’s shadow foreign secretary
Robin Cook and the Liberal Democrat spokesman
Menzies Campbell, holding a rare joint press
conference, urged Tory MPs to study the report
and recognise the former Foreign Office minister,
William Waldegrave, had been found guilty of
deliberately misleading Parliament more than 30
times.” And this was possible because “A dozen
researchers working overnight at Labour’s media
headquarters gathered a damning collection of
quotes from the 1,800-page report, including Sir
Richard’s statement that ministers breached their
own rules on parliamentary conduct.” This was
Excalibur doing its work with the researchers
aided and abetted by the likes of Charlie
Falconer and James Goudie who toiled with them
into the wee hours in Millbank Tower. Excalibur’s
part in Cook’s and the Party’s political success
was acknowledged within Party circles. Its value
was now fully understood. Excalibur strikes again
There was another famous moment nine months later
when Labour issued a point-by-point rebuttal of a
Tory attempt to repeat the 1992 “Labour tax
bombshell” scare. Some things never change. A not
insignificant part of the media coverage was
about the speed and effectiveness of Labour’s
rebuttal, betokening Labour’s newfound
campaigning prowess. The Party was definitely
frightening the horses and as a result acquiring
a bit of a political swagger itself. Blair’s new
methods were very visibly working. Tory MPs
getting worried Tory MPs in marginal seats had
been edgy for a while. This surprisingly modern
stuff from the Labour Party wasn’t helping. That
message went up the line to No. 10 and Central
Office. The Tory Party Chairman, Brian Mawhinney,
asked young Danny Finklestein to check out if
they could acquire and build something like
Excalibur, only better. They wanted to soothe
Tory nerves, showing the troops their leaders were on the case.

professional grifters’ as he put it. He was there
to feel part of something bigger, though he

He’s not a fan of Keir Starmer but he also
believes Farage would be a disaster. Oh yes, he’s
a bundle of contradictions! But aren’t we all? I
don’t know what ‘box’ we put him or the millions
like him in. And I think pretending they’re all
racists or fascists would be a massive mistake.
Some were. But not all. This is about something
bigger than immigration slogans or GDP numbers.
For decades we’ve hollowed out our national life,
underfunding and undermining the very
institutions that once brought us together. Karl
Polanyi, writing in The Great Transformation,
argued that when markets are “disembodied” from
society, when land, labour, and life itself are
treated as commodities society pushes back. He
called this the “double movement”: people seeking
to protect themselves, to reclaim dignity and
meaning when everything solid seems to melt into
air. That’s what I saw in my friend’s photos. Not
just anger, but a demand for belonging. We’ve
replaced collective experience with atomisation.
Without getting too nostalgic, programmes like
the BBC’s Generation Game once pulled in millions
every Saturday night, giving us something we
could all talk about on Monday morning. Now we
watch Netflix, Disney+, Prime, or Paramount,
alone, in algorithmic silos. Football used to be
affordable and rooted in community; now it’s
millionaires playing for the profitability of
billionaires. The NHS, the post office, the
railways – all chipped away, run down, sold off
or centralised, leaving people feeling powerless
and disconnected. And don’t get me wrong: some
kind of “Hovis Labour” nostalgia for the 1950s
isn’t the answer. The country back then was often
intolerant, grey, and deeply unequal. But what
we’ve built since is a society that gives people
little to hold in common, no collective story
about who we are or what we’re for. I reckon
that’s partly why my mate marched. Not because he
wants to turn back the clock. But because he
wants to feel pride again. Pride in a country
that is inclusive, fair, and offers a role for
everyone. Pride in a nation that has a respected
place in the world, tackles grotesque inequality,
and gives people something real to believe in.
Polanyi warned that when democracies fail to
provide a humane alternative, the backlash can
turn authoritarian. This is how fascism grew in
the 1930s, not because everyone became a true
believer, but because millions felt abandoned and
looked for strength, identity, and meaning
wherever they could find it. If Labour and
progressives don’t offer that story of renewal,
if we don’t rebuild our national institutions,
restore collective pride, and re-embed markets
within society, the far right will do it for us,
in their own image. And by then, it will be too late.

Adrian Mardell announced in June the company will
be cutting all models that don’t bring in profit.
“We are eliminating five products, all lower
value,” Mardell said, quoted by Automotive News
Europe. He said the five models being axed
represented a loss for the company, as they don’t
sell very well. “None of those are vehicles on
which we made any money, so we are replacing them
with new vehicles on newly designed
architectures,” he continued. With the average
selling price of Jaguar or Land Rover cars being
around $90,000 and the cost of production, unsold
inventory is a huge loss. All five models from
the company, owning both Jaguar and Land Rover,
were Jaguar vehicles. “We are going to lose
products, but they are not the rich ones,” said
Mardell. Mardell noted the three best-selling
vehicles for the company were Land Rover vehicles
– the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and the
Land Rover Defender. Those three vehicles made up
85 percent of the company’s profits last year.
Jaguar, on the other hand, only sold 15,324 this
year compared to nearly 100,000 Land Rovers. Land
Rover’s new business model will heavily depend on
the demise of Jaguar vehicles. “Our business
model is not going to be a succession of
increasing variable marketing [e.g. discounts]
and fixed marketing expenses to try and keep our plants full,” he continued.

Evidence Israel may have used a neutron weapon in
massive decapitation strike against Hezbollah in
September 2024. Dr Chris Busby on neutron bombs –
looks like may have been around for a long time,
and many people he knows who have died trying to
get information out about possible use of this
weapon. The results show vary large anomalous
perturbations of isotopes of Lead and Cadmium in
samples from the Israeli bomb crater site in
Beirut where Hassan Nasrallah was killed. Similar
results are found for Mercury isotopes but less
weight can be placed on this due to larger errors
in the signal counts. Although the authors are
open to alternative scientific explanation of the
results, the findings are held to provide further
evidence of the employment by Israel of a novel
Uranium-based neutron warhead weapon. The
existence of such a weapon could be further
investigated by measurements on crater and local
dust samples, particularly by gamma and alpha
spectrometry. Other samples containing lead and
copper from the attack sites will show neutron
activation evidence. The authors have other
samples from the site (which are being
investigated) and more of the samples reported

19th December 2024 Dr Jihad Abboud, President of
the Lebanese Chemists Syndicate, Dr Robert L
Gallagher, Chair of the American Peace
Information Council, and representative of Green
Audit, and Lebanese journalist Yvonne Anwar
Saouiby visited the impact site of the bomb that
killed Hezbollah General Secretary Hassan
Nasrallah in Beirut. They took a Geiger Counter
and found that the site was significantly more
radioactive than the normal background for the
area. Dr Gallagher reported that 100m from the
impact site the normal background radiation level
was between 0.07 and 0.1 µSv/h. As they
approached the Nasrallah bombing site the reading
steadily increased to 0.27 to 0.32 µSv/h at the
site itself. Measurements close to the ground
gave an increased dose rate [1,2]. This was 84
days after the explosion [3]. In 2006, a similar
finding of radiation at a bomb crater in Khiam
was reported by the late Dr Ali Al Khobeisi, and
the samples taken there were analysed by two
separate techniques in the UK (alpha spectrometry
and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry
ICPMS) [4,5]. Enriched Uranium (EU) was detected.

One explanation is that a new weapon has a
neutron-producing warhead and the short-lived
radiation (12 weeks) is due to activation
products which physically decay over a period of
some months. This explanation, due to the late Dr
Emilio Del Guidice, also predicts the excess
Enriched Uranium which has been found [6]. Dr
Jihad Abboud had obtained a fairly fresh sample
from a worker shortly after the bombing and sent
it for analysis to France. The French laboratory
reported unofficially that it contained
significant levels of Uranium but refused to
provide details, presumably for political
reasons.

of Uranium contamination [7]. Three soil samples
were collected from the impact site some 12 weeks
after the explosion. The samples were obtained
from the ground surfaces using a small portable
vacuum cleaner. Samples labelled e and b were
from close to the impact site of the weapon. A
third sample c was taken from Deeb neighbourhood,
100m from the impact site, but which had also
been bombed. A vehicle engine air filter was also
obtained. The samples were relayed via France to
the Green Audit lab in England and screened for
activity using various detectors. A previous
report has provided evidence, and
microphotographs of CR39 alpha track images
showing the existence of mobile micron sized
Uranium particles in the two proximal samples e
and b. Uranium particles were not seen in the
sample c. Here we provide results of high
resolution ICPMS measurements of Lead, Cadmium
and Mercury isotopes in samples e and c carried
out in the USA by a commercially certified
laboratory. Prof. Robert L Gallagher, who was
organising the project in the Lebanon lived in
Beirut under the name of Dr Robert Daly. He had
organised conveying these samples from the bomb
sites to Green Audit via France and was killed
whilst swimming in the sea [8,9] shortly after a
third set of samples was intercepted by the
French Customs in Bordeaux. This paper is dedicated to his memory.

essence of General Kujat’s position is that the
war could have been prevented and could have been
ended shortly after it began or in the course of
its further development. It cannot be denied or
disputed that Russia has started a war that violates international law.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has ordered
hundreds of US military generals and admirals
stationed around the world to an urgent meeting,
scheduled to take place at the Marine Corps Base
in Quantico, Virginia, next week, The Washington
Post reported on Thursday. There are
approximately 800 generals and admirals in the US
and at US bases worldwide, and sources told the
Post that Hegseth’s order applies to every senior
officer with the rank of brigadier general or
rear admiral and above. The directive has been
described as highly unusual and possibly
unprecedented. “None of the people who spoke with
the Post could recall a defense secretary ever
ordering so many of the military’s generals and
admirals to assemble like this,” the Post report
said. The reason for the meeting is unclear, and
even the generals and admirals are reportedly
unaware of the purpose. The meeting may be
related to Hegseth’s recent orders for major
changes at the Pentagon, including a directive to
reduce the number of four-star officers by
20%.Another possibility is that Hegseth is
ordering the meeting to prepare the senior
military officers for a new war of major military
escalation. A congressional aide speaking to CNN
said that unless Hegseth planned to announce “a
major new military campaign or a complete
overhaul of the military command structure, I
can’t imagine a good reason for this.” There are
several areas around the world where the US could
potentially launch a new war, including
Venezuela, as the US has deployed a fleet of
warships to the Caribbean and has begun bombing
boats in the area under the pretext of fighting
drug trafficking, though US officials have told
The New York Times that the real purpose of the
deployment is regime change. The US and Israel
could be preparing to launch another war on Iran,
as the US has maintained a hardline policy
against the Islamic Republic since the ceasefire
that ended the 12-Day War, and tensions are
soaring in Eastern Europe between Russia and
NATO. President Trump has also recently floated
the idea of retaking Bagram Air Base in
Afghanistan, an idea that would require military
force since it has been rejected by the Taliban.
The War Department may also be looking to turn
military operations inward, as President Trump
recently declared that Antifa is a “domestic
terrorist organization.” Later on Thursday, both
President Trump and Vice President JD Vance
downplayed the meeting. “It’s not particularly
unusual that generals who report to the secretary
of War and then to the president of the United
States are coming to speak with the secretary of
War,” Vance said. “It’s actually not unusual at
all and I think it’s odd that you’ve made it into such a big story.”

a bible in her suitcase while heading off to
college in Europe so that she could ‘live like
Charlie Kirk.’ Over 85 members of Congress were
in attendance at the vigil. U.S House of
Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson was the
first speaker to take the stage after emcee Jake
Hoffman, a longtime friend of Kirk’s and an
Arizona state senator, kicked off the speaking
cue. Johnson said that Kirk ‘loved a vigorous
debate, but he loved people more.’ ‘Charlie was
never motivated by hate,’ Johnson also noted.

Mass. I think that this video is one of the best
ones about Witchcraft. Like “Witchcraft 70” and
others, it shows a lot of traditional witches and
also shows the main rituals of the Alex Sanders’
Coven with his wife and Priestess Maxine
Morris/Sanders (like the First Degree Initiation
Ritual). The film is – in essence – a pocket
history of Witchcraft, quite nicely shot and told
in an informative, atmospheric and interesting
manner by an un-credited Narrator. The history
includes extensive footage of the Witchcraft
Museum in Boscastle, Cornwall, run (at the time
of filming) by Cecil H. Williamson. But arguably
the most significant footage is that of the Alex
Sanders Coven performing several Witchcraft
Rituals: significant because (as incredible as it
seems) such footage of the man is said to be
something of a rarity. As previously stated, the
outside Rituals display unexpectedly uncensored
levels of nudity – a traditional element in
Witchcraft Ceremonies. What is made crystal clear
during this Witchcraft history lesson is that
Paganism and Christianity once shared common
ground, at a time when the new religion of
Christianity adopted a “softly-softly” approach
to religious conversion. When the stance of the
religionists inevitably became more aggressive
and Paganism became the enemy, the division
between itself and the Christian Faith should (by
all the laws of logic and reason) have become
absolute and irreversible. Because this did not
happen, Witchcraft has existed for over 60 years
as a 90% Christianity/10% Paganism hybrid – many
of whose adherents, proponents and practitioners
have repeatedly waxed lyrical about their
“Earthy”, “non-religious”, “non-Christian”
credentials. This film begins as a distinctly
Pagan, Earthy study – but soon drifts into an
over-extended focus on the links between
Alexandrianism and Christianity. It goes off, in
fact, on several tangents, but remains watchable.
