Hi,
We are using the 3D rotation viewer on our site and are very pleased
with how smoothly it works - its definitely the best of all I've tried
out.
One issue we've been experiencing is that when you use IE (7,8,9) or
the Android browser, the viewer is slow to load (about 70% of time). I
have it set up to do the opening 3D animation like you use on the
example page but a blank screen appears, followed by the opening
animation about 15-20 seconds later. If you try to drag the empty
screen, the viewer will appear and work as expected. I don't think
it is an issue with our implementation since I see the same issue with
your example at: http://www.uize.com/examples/3d-rotation-viewer.html
This problem does not occur when using Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
I've also updated the Uize library we are using to the version
released on 2011-12-03 with no succes.
If you could suggest a fix or work-around, it would be greatly
appreciated!
Thanks

It actually happens for me in all browsers.  The 15-20 second wait time is for all of the 72 images (in the case of the example) to finish loading.  The reason you can drag while it's empty and see some images is because those have already loaded, but not all of them have loaded.

I can't think of a way to work around it since you'd want all the images loaded before you start playing w/ the widget.  The best thing I can think of would be to have a "please wait. loading..." image inside the rotation viewer by default, which would get blown away once all the images have loaded and the widget is ready to be used.

Hope that helps...

Same issue for me with IE 7,8,9. It seems not depending on the amount and size of the images. I also have an issue with flickering. The news from 2011-10-11 say this should be fixed, but i still see this flickering in the online example (http://www.uize.com/news/2011-10-11-Various-Broken-Examples-Fixed.html). Any ideas how to solve it?
Thanks!

I should have read through this (http://www.uize.com/news/2011-10-11-Various-Broken-Examples-Fixed.html).

I have the same issue Am Sonntag is experiencing.

I was thinking it was just IE being IE & took it for what it is. From that news thread, I get the impression
using showNode is supposed to be a function call. I'm not entirely sure where to do this or if my hunch is
correct.

Thank you...
