Paradox & WordPerfect SGML

I'm currently writing a database to store the location of abstracts for one
of my company's publications. These abstracts are in WP SGML format. When
creating a new abstract, the idea is to let Paradox generate a new filename
automatically and launch WP7 using the Paradox ObjectPal 'execute()'
command, passing the file name as a parameter.The problem is that whenever
I launch WP using the Paradox ObjectPal 'execute()' command all SGML
functionality is lost. Does anybody know a command line switch that would
work? The WP help files and manual contain nothing relevent.
