Hey Ho it's ... ... ... Sunday;

The clothes of spring are fleshing out the bare twigs of the forest now,
a lacey tapestry of myriad shades of green. The donkies nibble at the
holly and the gorse while the spring lambs gambol in the fields, now
where I come from it's the sheep that roam the moors and heaths but here
in The New Forest they are firmly penned while cattle, horses and
donkies graze as property of the commoners.
We commented that Mollie, her real name is Shula, hadn't been around to
mug us for the odd carrot or six. So I made enquiries last Sunday and
was taken to see her in a stable wrapped warmly against the morning
frosts. I'll send her along, said her owner, toward the end of April or
perhaps in June. We wouldn't want the old lady to catch a cold would we?

Gaynor had met her of course, she had checked for contraband goodies in
their car and apparently Jelly Beans are on her list. As of course is
Safeway bread, prime carrots ( You haven't got none ? Go get some at
once) and currant scones.
On Tuesday the party here broke up, workdays calling after a lovely
relaxing holiday. The Irish flew away to the Emerald Isle, the Jersey
contingent moving on to West Sussex and the rest dispersing along the
highways and byways of old England. Howard and Harry had called on
Monday, we went to lunch at the Filly an Inn of repute. Salmon Kiev,
Meat and potato pie or many other dishes on offer at very little cost.
Ringwood 49er washed mine down and a snooze in the afternoon led to a
session of yarn swapping over a few glasses of port in the evening.

And so to return to the humdrum midweek life, getting up early, awakened
by furry object. Bed early too, doesn't it catch up with you
eventually.;-)
A Lymington Times on Friday, Mac spilled my chocolate mousse all over
it, and catch up with the local gossip.
I can see I'm going to be busy again this weekend, car boots to stroll
around, lunches out at friends and the odd stroll with my furry friend.
Bacon sarnies for breakfast, then I'll just wa........... ....

OK I'm coming. Just let me put my boots on, put that sock down, I'll
marmelise you you ....

Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car,
in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing
right in your ear.
