Thank you for being so expedient, Allen.
I support the concept of this new group, and can envisage many benefits arising
from the formation of it.

Being of the Jewish persuasion, I could not find it within myself to agree with
your call for the formation of any group which includes pork products.
Therefore I will not be concerned in any discussions regarding the sausage or
pork pie groups.
I wholeheartedly endorse your call for the group" uk.net.news.porkie-pies"; it
sounds like a first class idea.

Perhaps we need a group such as uk.net.news.sausages.kosher to be inclusive
of the jewish faith. I would support the creation of a group like that.

Splendid idea! I support the creation of this group, and would post to it.

Perhaps it could be included in the voting procedure as an addendum ?

That's a good question. I would assume that it would, but perhaps a new RFD
could be created for the new sub-hierarchy of uk.net.news.sausages.* . I
would think there could be several possibilities for discussion of diverse
topics like sausages-vegan, sausages-condiments, sausages-casings, etc...

There is definitly a need for some guidance on how to best procede with
these RFD's.
I believe that 2 seperate groups would be more appropriate.
Members of the Jewish faith are banned from the ingestion of pork products by
virtue of their faith.
There are those alive today who would not drive a Mercedes Benz, nor eat a
Bierwurst for very personal reasons.
I do not wish to turn this post into a Fawlty Towers sketch, nor eloborate too
much on this particular issue. I am sure that anyone with a modicum of
intelligence would be capable of reaching a conclusion about which particular
issue I am referring to.
I would therefore support the formation of a specific group
"uk.net.news.sausages.kosher" should anyone post a RFD for the formation of
that specific group.
I cannot irrefutably state that I would post to it, but should the group be far
reaching enough to encompass recipes for "Lutkas", which I find a good
accompaniment to sausages of any variety, then I may be tempted to join in
those discussions.

The kosher RFD will be posted later

I'm not sure I explained my thoughts well enough, or possibly you simply
didn't understand what I was saying, or both are possible. I was suggesting
that newsgroups be created for each of the topics, after all there are
vegetarians who would not want to be in the same group as meat eaters,
people who create caseless sausages that wouldn't want to sift through posts
about sausage casings, some people don't like any condiments on their
sausages and would be horrified to discuss condiments in the same group as
sausages. Along with the problems of kosher/non-kosher you have other
preferences like beef verses veal or lamb, etc... I could envision separate
newsgroups for all these varied tastes. Some example group names would be:
uk.net.news.sausages.veal
uk.net.news.sausages.pork
uk.net.news.sausages.caseless
uk.net.news.sausages.fish
uk.net.news.sausages.fowl
uk.net.news.sausages.roadkill
Hence the need for an RFD to create a new sub-hierarchy
[uk.net.news.sausages.*].
I hope that makes my suggestion clearer to understand.
Regards,
Sweely
Hope this meats your requirements

There already is, it's called alt.usenet.kooks but top posters never
read charters so the fuckers won't stay there.
