The original edition of this manuscript was completed in 833 A.H./A.D.
1430 and was preserved in the Imperial Library of Tehran. The particular
that is for sale, was published by the Central Council of the Celebration
of the 2500th anniversary of the founding of the Persian Empire by Cyrus
the Great. Comes with an introduction and commentary by Basil Gray,
F.B.A., former Curator of Oriental Antiquities at the British Museum
(1971). This edition is copyrighted MCMLXXI by the Ministry of the
Imperial Court of Iran and was limited to 3000 copies. Printed at the
Twenty-Fifth Shahrivar Printing House by the Offset Press, Inc. Tehran.
This is an album of miniatures and illuminations. Persian script with
side translations in English, French and German. Size: 55cm by 35cm, 4
cm in width. Hard cover with a soft blue/azure sheen paper vest. The
hand painted pictures retain their brilliance from generation to
generation. The book is in good condition and is fully intact and well
preserved.
I will be taking bids for this valuable illustrated manuscript. For the
