Manuscript of the Shahnameh of Ferdowsi.

The original edition of this manuscript was completed in 833 A.H./A.D.
1430 and was preserved in the Imperial Library of Tehran. The particular

(1971). This edition is copyrighted MCMLXXI by the Ministry of the

generation. The book is in good condition and is fully intact and well

I will be taking bids for this valuable illustrated manuscript. For the

only, as I would like to have this back in the hands of a member of
Arabic ethnicity to appreciate it most....however, I will open this
manuscript to other newsgroups in due time if an appropriate response is
not made.

My starting selling price is US$1000.00. Please make offers to me at my

Thank you for your consideration and time.

I came across your old posting regarding a copy of The Shahnameh of Ferdowsi The Baysonghori Manuscript. An Album of Miniatures of Illuminations you had many years ago. At this point, I imagine you may not even remember posting it. In any case, I am contacting you on the off chance you recall it. I have discovered a copy of the same album in my father's affairs. He lived in Iran during the 1970's and had a copy among his belongings. He is now deceased. I was admiring the book and felt that it would be an item that would be appreciated by someone who knew it's background and signficance more than me. Do you have any suggestions on whom I could contact about it? I would appreciate it. My info is davidyo...@gmail.com.

Thanks for your input!

Hi. I am so greatful that I have found your postings about Baysonghor Shahnameh.
It has been several years that I have dreamt about having one of these copies, which was given to the foreign guests by the Iran's government before its revolution and war.
Thus my feelings about this book is not only limited to the endless value of its author "Ferdowsi" and the incidable arts within this book and its particular paintings but also the memory of the last celebration that took place in Iran, which was the reason why this book was published from its original one, before Iran falling into caos. I deeply hope that one day I can show this book to my half Persian son, who loves to draw and paint and make rhymes, hohoping he will get closer to understanding where his father came from. If you know or you know any one who can help me achieve this goal please contact me on (kiaalaki) which is a gmail account. Thank you kindly.
