Welcome to the PCMag.com Security Watch Newsletter. Every week
we bring you an overview of the current viruses, worms, and
other threats, and the information you need to combat them.

A highly critical flaw in Adobe Acrobat and Reader won't be
patched for several weeks, but there are many mitigation steps
you can take. New versions of Firefox 3.0 and 3.5 and a new
SeaMonkey fix many critical and lesser flaws. Experts sound off
on their expectations for security problems and solutions in the
coming year. And schools in England will begin teaching Internet
safety as a standard part of their curricula. Also, we review
Peanut Butter PC 3.0, GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2, and the IronKey
Personal S200.

For more on these threats, vulnerabilities, and other issues,
visit the Watch.

What to Expect in Security in 2010

Blackmailing rogues will be resurgent, reputation is reputed to
be on the increase, and whitelisting is given the go-ahead in
2010.

Peanut Butter PC 3.0

Peanut Butter PC's two aims are to amuse your kids at the
computer and keep them from doing any harm to your files. Though
this version includes more interactive elements, it doesn't
strike me as exciting enough for a toddler, and a kid could
still accidentally break out of its protection.

GoTrusted Secure Tunnel 2

Business travelers connect securely to the home office using a
Virtual Private Network. The tiny GoTrusted client gives that
same protection to every user. It's a tiny bit rough around the
edges, but it does the job it's designed for, and does it well.

IronKey Personal S200

The newest IronKey is as tough as ever and its cryptographic
technology rates even higher with the government. Its password
manager is much improved—easier to use, better organized, and
capable of handling just about any login. If you need to protect
sensitive data while transporting it, IronKey is for you.
