Hi Gary,

I am afraid that MetaSynth does not have any MIDI export capabilities.

Best,

Edward

I use Melodyne to post process the sonification of the images and it works terrific.

I want to post process with things like Kontakt,  Live or Max to get a much wider sonic palette.

I gather it cannot be done in MetaSynth though I sense that the  data is there.  Add to a wish list?

Hi Gary,

Since MetaSynth is so hugely microtonal in a way that doesn't readily translate to MIDI and is so much about amplitiude envelopes that don't have an obvious MIDI equivalent, there isn't really a sensical way to translate from MetaSynth to MIDI. Xx type stuff makes MIDI sense but not really the Image Synth.

Best,
Edward

Yet the Mac OS 9 version of Xx lets users import .pict files. I honestly wish that feature was in the current version of Xx.
