Not sure what you mean, but its certainly possible within artmatic using all the math and clamping tools.

How can I say this; when I run the random function, it easily goes into nowhere and you have nothing on the screen until it comes back to cover some material. I wish I could have a boundary condition to keep it within a certain part of the picture all the time in order to record it for example. 

 Also, I just experimented with a 3D picture from Voyager and imagined a random path through a 3D picture. That would really be cool, if that would be possible. 

I hope updating to 64 bit is not giving you too much trouble. I don't even know how I will preserve all my old files. Maybe I will just never upgrade to Catalina just to keep all my old files. But this is another topic.
