Anybody using Yosemite on their “Production” machine?

I’m thinking I need to install it so I can do screenshots and video previews with the new Quicktime player. Either than or I need to get a much faster external drive. It’s a USB drive.

I've been using it since WWDC. It's felt a lot better recently, I think it's pretty stable now.

No, not yet, but I haven’t had any real trouble running it from a 2.5” external USB3 drive. Of course, I haven’t tried recording iOS video with QuickTime…

If you are looking for a fast adapter, try the Seagate Thunderbolt Adapter.  It is made for their portable GoFlex drives but it has a standard SATA interface.  Great for any spare 2.5" drive you have lying around, even better if it is a spare SSD.

Runs great from thunderbolt drive. It's always been better than Mavericks for me and has been my primary since WWDC.
