The Katie Memorial Foundation (KMF) is now accepting applications for
the 2009 Katie Evans Memorial Scholarship, which supports outstanding
work in international public health by providing a one-time
scholarship of up to $3,000 towards a fieldwork project proposed by a
qualified graduate student. Applicants must be currently enrolled in
6 credits and interested in completing an international health
project. The scholarship must be utilized to offset the cost of
traveling, researching, developing, creating, and/or teaching the
proposed project.

Application materials and guidelines are available at the KMF website
(http://www.katiememorialfoundation.org). The deadline to submit
complete application materials online is February 15, 2009. KMF is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization founded in loving memory
of Katie Evans (1976-2007), formerly an APHA and Delta Omega graduate
student leader at Florida International University, and an
international public health professional.
