Hey all-
A friend told me to check out this site/organization - KIVA.org. Some
of you may already be familiar with it. Its a unique way to lend money
to those in developing countries (microfinance). You can choose an
individual to loan $25 to so that they can start a business,
empowering those in poverty. Its a great concept, and the first to
allow people like us to lend. I've seen some of these microfinance
programs in action in some of the places I've traveled, and they
really can make a difference, especially for women. Check it out!
