I am writing to invite you to join us in a rich discussion of Global
Health Themes. The Family Medicine Department Residency Program at
UIC, through our Global Community Health Track, is announcing our next
Quarterly Journal Club.

The purpose of this journal club is to get together to discuss Global
Health Topics in a multi-disciplinary context. In doing so, we are
hoping that all who attend and share in this rich discussion will
contribute to and shape a broad perspective of Global Health.

We are inviting the ENTIRE UIC campus: including... ALL resident
physicians from ALL programs at UIC, the medical student global health
interest group, the nursing school global health interest group, the
school of public health global health interest group, and engineers
without borders-UIC chapter, as well as others. We are hoping that
representatives from all of these groups will be able to join us on a
quarterly basis. In addition, we are seeking to expand our
invitations in order to include all on campus who may be able to
challenge and add to our collective ideas. We are as well happy to
extend this invitation to others in the Chicago land area who have an
active interest in Global Health and wish to attend this discussion.

The fourth Global Health Journal Club will be held on June 16, 2009
and will begin at around 6:30 pm. It will be held in Room 932 at the
School of Public Health 1603 West Taylor.
