Here is a list of pipelining and instruction level parallelism
topics. I tried to put together very related topics, so the list is
smaller than in previous meetings. I think we should try and work
out a problem or two for each topic, especially in predicting
execution time (those stupid tables of instructions moving through
the pipeline...).

Pipelining:
1. Cycle times & Latency
2. Hazards
3. Result forwarding
4. Predicting execution time (with hazards, with and without forwarding)

ILP:
5. What is it?, limitations, and superscalar architecture
6. In-order & out-of-order execution
7. VLIW processors vs. compilation based parallelism

I will take #6 (In-order and Out-of-order execution).

I guess that leaves 7 :)

I just realized I didn't study this stuff - ILP, VLIW last time, so
this is great!! :)
