Lets keep all this in the context of Java, however much you may loathe
the language. I've only retained non-trivial topics which are likely
to be on the exam.

1) Classes, inheritance (virtual classes, etc.), overloading,
polymorphism
2) Pointers, references, parameter passing
3) Exception handling
4) Threads, mutexes
5) Scope, operator precedence, expression evaluation
6) Loop invariants (some problems perhaps)
7) Compilers, optimization, formal methods (briefly)

Feel free to add on

By the way, I'll take # 2.

I may not be able to make for the meeting today.

So, how many people are going to show up ?

So it looks like it's going to be Habiba, Ishan and myself. Should we
still have the meeting, or pick another topic for Monday, or stick
with the same topic for Monday?
Also, does anyone else intend on showing up today?

Extending the topic would be a good idea.
ANy suggestions ?

yeah, i think it would be better to add some more stuff....and there is still some in the previous list that needs to be taken.
I think if we extend from the same software...section it would  be helpful.

So what was decided?  I intend to be there Monday.

I will take 5 for today if we are still covering the same list of topics.

5) Scope, operator precedence, expression evaluation

Only Habiba and I were here today so we called it off. Lets try and
figure out the rest of the week sooner than later. We could try and
make up for lost time by meeting sometime Tuesday-Thursday, but I have
a feeling that will be hard to set up. For Friday, lets get a count
for who is going to be there.

A second order of business that has come up a couple times. It may be
a good idea to exchange cell numbers so if someone shows up late they
can find the group, or let them know not to wait around.

I m fine with anytime after 3:30 PM on tuesday and thursday and friday is fine anytime after 1 PM.
It would be better if we can meet earlier than friday but ofcourse only if everyone has prepared whatever they were supposed to lookup so that we can move on to the next thing. Otherwise its going to be friday i hope.

I guess I'll take 6 since no one has. I'm not sure what about loop
invariants is particular to Java.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

I don't think 6/7 should be language specific.
What do you guys think ?

I would say 5, 6, and 7 aren't java specific.
