Dear my fellow AIESECers,
It has been the saddest week for everyone from AIESEC in Mainland of
China. We've been through extreme emotions. But also, we feel the
love, the empathy and the power of the network, when we stand together
as one.
On behalf of AIESEC in Mainland of China, MC has been trying our best
to support Elyn's family.
Here are the updates:
1. On May.4th (One day after the accident), on behalf of AIESEC in
Mainland of China, Member Committee President Sophia Fan supported
Elyn's Father and Uncle to go to Mauritius. Former LCP from NKU Iris
Li and Luxin also went together.
Meanwhile, we've contacted International SOS for possible support and
started to ensure every possible process is well supported.
2. On May.5th, when Elyn's Father and Uncle, Sophia, Iris, Luxin
arrives at the airport, Chinese embassy arranged visa and vip passage
for them. We met with Diplomatic Officer of Chinese embassy in
Mauritius and MC in Mauritius.
We went to the hospital to see Elyn, with the support of Ministry of
Education and Ministry of Finance.
3. On May.6th, we spent a whole day preparing for the Farewell
Ceremony on the 7th. On the morning, we have picked up Elyn's personal
belonging. On the afternoon, we've communicated with event organizer
and invited guests including Ex-minister of Education, Chinese
Embassy, Government representative, AIESEC alumni and member in
Mauritius.
4. President of AIESEC International Florent Meiyi are currently
heading to Mauritius for the Farewell Ceremony on the 7th to honor her
and support her family.
For the upcoming Memorial Events in China:
1. Pick up Elyn's Father in Shanghai Pudong Airport on May.9th
2. On 11th Morning, an official funeral will be organized in Elyn's
hometown Huanggang.
3. MC 1112 and NKU have initiated a Memorial Event in Tianjin on
May.12th to honor Elyn. This will be an internal event only open for
team mates and friends.
MC 1213 will support the event by all possible means.

我们每个人都很爱她，尊敬她，思念她。那一天，当我看着MC
Apartment里所有人哭成一片，我看到所有人渗透在这些天里的悲伤。每天，我们都希望能够做更多，才做到真正的不辜负这每一个应该起舞的日子。
但是，我们身上承担着这个组织的责任，我们非常忧虑在各个渠道上的讨论会带来不必要的舆论风险。我们讨论了很多很多，出于谨慎，我们不能在官方渠道去进行主题纪念。
尽管如此，我们一直在竭尽全力地支持江川的父母和朋友，我们全身心地去用最多的方式来怀念她支持她。
如果可以的话，写一些话给江川和她的父母，让他们明白她给你和世界带来的美好。
MC1112会统一整理一份纪念册送给江川的父母家人。
