Dear Pre-Moot Participants,
Again, welcome to Budapest!
Attached please find the updated schedule of the general rounds. The changes what I made upon your comments are in red. Please check the schedule again, and if you have any comment on it, please let me know.
Attached I am also sending the particulars of the venues. As you will see, most of the hearings will take place at offices of major international law firms. If you have any question or comment as to the venues, please let me know.
As far as the practice rounds are concerned, we have reserved some rooms for these rounds in the university, so it will be possible to have parallel rounds with the general rounds. To make the pairings and timings for the practice rounds, I would like to ask you to please register the availability of your team for practice rounds here: http://doodle.com/9ry998pz85452myn. I know from experience that students love to be arbitrators at the hearings, and while arbitrating they can learn at least as much as during presenting their arguments. Therefore our unique (at least we are not aware of any other pre-moot providing this educational experience for the students) initiative here is that we allow the team members to serve as arbitrators in the practice rounds. Please register your team members who are interested in arbitrating at the practice rounds at http://doodle.com/7gwbswekabs83bhn . Please note that the end of the pre-moot the will be an award for the best student arbitrator.
As far as the registration is concerned, you can see from the program that it is scheduled for tomorrow morning. However, just to make it more comfortable for you – especially if you come to the walking tour today – it is possible to register your team today, in the evening as from 6 pm to 7 pm at the university. Please do not come earlier than 6 pm. When you are at the university, just follow the signs to the registration. For those who do not wish to register today, there will be a registration desk operating tomorrow at the university from 8 am till 9 am. Please do not come earlier than 8 am. If your team is pleading in the first round, I would suggest you to register either today in the evening, or tomorrow at 8 am, since as you can see from the attachments it takes approximately 15 minutes to get to certain venues from the university.
Should you have any question, please feel free to let me know. Again, you can also reach me at +36304451503.
Looking forward to seeing you all.
Best regards,
Istvan Erdos
