Subject: Re: [BigDataUtah] Taylor Swift Ranking System going live

The grading platform is live for the taylor swift competition. Go here to submit like last time:

All of the data + a full solution, end to end, which will give you 75.0130% accuracy is located here:
in python.

Remember only 60% of the data is scored for the public score but 100% of the data is scored for the final result to declare who the winner is. If you have any issues or questions feel free to reach out to me via email or linkedIn and I will respond as soon as I can. I'll be traveling in Boston until Friday, but don't worry I will be checking mail & LinkedIn regularly and have my Laptop the whole time.

A lot of employers and recruiters are looking carefully at this ranking list so it pays to invest the time to dominate.

You get 5 total submissions right now. There is no time factor, use them all now, or later, up to you. Submissions will be ended Friday night at midnight and the final private & public scores will be posted.  Winners will be selected from the highest private score rank.

Make sure to share on social (twitter/LinkedIn) using #taylorswiftdata and also tag #utahCodecamp.

HINT: If you are hurting for submissions (i.e. I wish I had 30 more instead of 5...) make your own validation set and iterate against it. In real life you don't get to iterate on real validation data multiple times, usually it is just once.

Good luck,
-Ben Taylor

Hello Everyone,

We are hoping to take the ranking system for the Taylor Swift competition live soon.

You will be able to try one submission set a day until Friday, at which point, we'll see the top solutions and announce the results on Saturday at Code Camp!

Please let me know what questions you have and let's all meet tomorrow to discuss approaches, the competitions and learn from each other.

Thanks,

Nick Baguley
