Hey everyone-

The hadoop cluster is needing some maintenance which will require a bit of downtime.  We're still in the process of coming up with a full game plan right now as to when things will happen.

The one thing that I want to ensure is that I have all data which you may have loaded backed up somewhere if there are any issues.  So, has any team loaded data onto the cluster yet?

Hi Matt,

I work in the Support department at Cloudera, so if you get stuck on anything or have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Thanks Brian!

Right now I think the main issue at hand is a couple nodes being flaky and needing to be swapped out. It happens to be that one of them is a namenode.  The cluster is in HA configuration now, so between that and datanodes sending in block reports I think we should be OK, but I like the belt + suspender approach...

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
