We know, we know: You're out having too much fun on this fine Friday
night to be reading all the posts for the mystery challenge. That's why
we're here: we stay home, we read the posts, we do the analysis, and
all for you. Here we go on the mystery challenge.

---------------------

JAMES

As we mentioned yesterday, James made a bold move by posting first. His
post continues to draw some of the most interesting comments yet about
political symbolism, protest actions, the meaning of words, and our
relationship with products and advertising. Don't make our brains hurt,
guys!

RITCHEY

Ritchey made a mash-up video combining clips from the challenge video,
snails, eating (pasta, we think?), static, and our illustrious hosts.
This video really blew people away; Lyova called it "the total best
thing I have ever seen here," while another commenter remarked, "RAD
AND AWESOME! You are becoming ultimate." If the hosts like it as much
as the spectators do, this entry is sure to be a contender.

MEDYA

Medya posted a letter from a friend that had been altered by Iranian
mail censors. Or did he? Medya, we have a hard time believing this is a
real story...nevertheless, it's fascinating to hear of your daily
experiences. Tell us more about the censoring?

MIMI

Mimi took this challenge as an opportunity to write about what she's
most occupied with: how her work affects her body, her self-worth, and
her trust in others. It's another fascinating and heart-felt entry. Our
only criticism is that it doesn't really feel like it was written for
Ultimate Blogger...but then, that's probably our hosts' fault for
giving such a vague (or rather nonexistent) challenge this week. You're
off the hook from us, Mimi, and we're always glad to read your thoughts
on your experiences.

LOIS

Lois writes about her monthly visit to the chiropractor, accompanied by
photos that made our back hurt just looking at them. Lois, darlin',
didn't your mama ever tell you to sit up straight??

WILLOW

Willow was dreaming of sunny days when she offered us several quirky
recipes for The Perfect Summer, mixed to your taste. We offer our own
contribution, entitled "Ultimate Blogger Summer":

Mix one part creative writing class, one part desert island, and one
part Friendster. Mix well and serve with a garnish of $500 prize
package and a dash of absinthe (optional).

LYOVA

Lyova, you are quite the mystery...we never know what to expect from
you. This challenge's entry is about first love and first heartbreak.
We loved it, but you shouldn't get defensive if people don't quite know
how to take your entry; it's so different from all your other entries,
it's a little hard to believe it's from the same person. In any case,
it's great writing, and we're glad you shared it with us.

HOLD THE PHONE!

Hot off the presses: Normally the judges would be up late deciding who
gets immunity, but this round all bets are off, so just now the
announcement was made that the contestants themselves would decide on
immunity! We have no idea how that will play out. Will the contestants
be honest? Will they all just vote for themselves? Will they confer
with each other and treat it as another strategic decision for the
alliances?

So many questions, so few answers, and somehow another Friday evening
is gone. Well, that's what it takes to stay on top of the great and
powerful Ultimate Blogger.

That's all we've got,
your UHUBUGGG
