I made part of a 3d model to learn solidworks ... of course i have to
start over from scratch but now i have a good idea what i'm doing.
Maybe I can make something that looks nice for the presentation.

Now I remember what I wanted to say when you were planning on making
the model similar to Wally/tank build. Your idea and design are for
four wheels, which might not be probable unless we change our user/
system requirements. 1) The Wally/tank design will severely limit our
angle of motion/turning (if we can get it to turn at all since the
tracks it looks like will constrict the bot to just moving forward) 2)
This design might impact our speed requirement for the bot (what was
it? 2ft/sec?) as the extra weight and friction might cause it to slow
down.

Just throwing this out there before you go too far on making this
design.

The wheels are not wheels they are to drive a track, i just didnt have time to make the tracks for it. The "design" is just a simple concept thrown together to show during our presentation, while the end product will look something like that model, that model is not at all functional. ... but ya for your main question the wheels drive a track, like a tank. Thats why the other posts are there for the track guides. With tracks it will still be able to turn on a dime, dont worry. And the "added weight" we dont know how much or if that is the case all we can do is make the user requriements and if we are unable to meet all of them that is ok. Remember our main goal is to show that web control of robots via webpages can be done, others have already built tons of robots.

let me just call you
