Hi all,

We missed those of you who couldn't make it to yesterday's meeting.
Thanks again to Andy for hosting at Rebel Interactive - a cool, very
red space that hosts wild, semi-legal events called Rebel Yells
(details from Andy).

During the meeting of minds, we discussed topics including:
- the challenges and benefits of user-centered design and direct
observation of end users
- the amazing value of using Morae remote usability testing software
from TechSmith (http://www.techsmith.com/morae.asp) as described by
Fletch (Please mention "Fletch" when ordering - at least he deserves
commission for his passionate testimonial)
- cool metro restaurants, and those that should be
- parallels of user-centered design in the advertising industry
- Rebel's cool web project in Nigeria
- general grumbling about work stuff that drives us crazy

BIG news: Diana (Di) Criser-Burns will be leading UGO for the
foreseeable future. This email represents my last official act as soon
I am headed to the land of outrageous home prices but totally gnarly
surf: San Diego. We lived in SD previously and are making good on our
promise to ourselves to return before all we can enjoy is gumming
tapioca on the beach and complaining of hip pain.

I'll keep in touch and watch as the group evolves under Di's great
leadership.

Thanks for your support and companionship for the past few months!

Best wishes,

- Fred

Fred;

Sorry Elizabeth and I missed the last meeting. We were both swamped and
didn't realize the time until it was too late.

Thanks for starting UGO, and good luck with your move. I've been to San
Diego twice on business; loved it both times. I'm jealous.
