February 18, 2010 - Meeting Notes and Summary

Thanks to those who attended our kickoff meeting for 2010. At the
meeting we discussed the mission and goals of the group, both of which
have been updated on the main page. Jason Hochwender, Team Lead for
Human Factors at Union Pacific, then presented Usagility, which
discussed the role of usability professionals in an agile
environment. Discussion on agile, workplace obstacles to usability,
and various other topics ensued.
We plan on having quarterly meetings as we progress, and are looking
for a site to host our next meeting in the April or May timeframe. If
you would like to host, let us know. Potential options include:
* West
* Election Systems
* Hayneedle
We are also looking for someone to present at the next meeting,
potential topics include:
* Guest Speaker (Creighton Professor)
* A B Testing
* Tealeaf vs. Foglight
* History of Usability Groups / Team Makeup
* Different Usability Roles and Meanings of Those Roles
* UPA Article Discussion / Book Club
* 3 x 3 Testing
