Kalaago: Uganda Independence @ 61

Dear members,

Following unanimous agreement by the committee, this year's Independence (UG@61) will be celebrated at The Code Restaurant and Gardens on Muthangari Drive on 14 October 2023.

We have organized a buffet which will display a few Ugandan dishes at a cost of 1,800/= for adults and 500/= for children (10 years and below).

We have arranged for a children's section which will have a bouncing castle and other child friendly activities (budget permitting).

Secure parking is being arranged with the venue.

There will be a cash bar which will also consist of Uganda Waragi. All flavors will be made available and these will also include assorted Uganda waragi base cocktails.

We continue to negotiate with the venue to keep costs for food and drinks as low as possible to accommodate our community in the best way possible taking into consideration the tough economic times we are facing.

A comprehensive agenda for the day will be shared in the coming days.

For planning purposes and to confirm your slot at the venue, we are opening up the kitty to receive payments for the occasion. Kindly send your  contributions to Ms Kikanu Doreen on +254706331678. If you are paying for adult(s) and children...kindly ensure this is communicated to Ms. Kikanu as well.

The deadline to receive payments for the buffet is 5 October 2023 at 21h00.

Kalaango: Independence Exhibitors and Change of Charge (UG@61)

Members who wish to Exhibit during our Independence celebrations on the 14th of October 2023. Kindly reach out to Amanda Ruzena (+254702223162) and Ruth Mbabazi Otieno (+254722163700)  ASAP. Only 8 slots are available.

As earlier mentioned, this year's Independence (UG@61) will be celebrated at The Code Restaurant and Gardens on Muthangari Drive on 14 October 2023 from 10am. 

Please note that this year's celebrations will be organized by the community. We have organized a buffet which will display a few Ugandan dishes at a cost of 2,000/= for adults and 500/= for children (10 years and below). The charge from 1800 to 2000 has been occasioned by the need to cater for cake and other miscellaneous costs. 

Send your contribution of 2000/- to Ms Kikanu Doreen on +254706331678 for planning purposes and to confirm your slot at the venue, If you are paying for adult(s) and children...kindly ensure this is communicated to Ms. Kikanu as well.

The deadline to receive payments for the buffet is 5 October 2023 at 21h00.
