SOAPUI and Groovy - getting started

Hi all:

I just found your group online while searching for information about Groovy. I'm going to be working on a Web Service Testing Project with SOAPUI , and they want to incorporate Groovy scripts into their test cases.

 

I'm a novice at Java but have reasonable fluency with  .NET and PHP.  From what I've seen thus far, it looks like the services are hosted in Java / Oracle but being consumed by a .NET client (if that makes a difference.

 

Any suggestions on what kind of setup and tools I could use to test this more effectively?
