Greetings colleagues,

Please be reminded to be a part of the International Youth Day Run at Kyambogo College sports grounds on the 12^thAugust 2017. With our International Youth Day Run, we hope to engage young people in a celebration of this important day. The event will offer an opportunity to for Young people to participate in a run followed by a festival of music, arts, inspirational speeches, dialogues on youth issues, and exhibitions by organizations that serve to empower youth and address the challenges they face. We expect 1000 young people to attend as event participants or running enthusiasts.

The theme of the International Day is “Youth as Peacebuilders”. There will be opportunities to discuss what peace means to youths and to learn about social development issues such as unemployment, gender equality, health care, and sexual health that are central to development in a peaceful society.
