Dear Bhikku:

Odyssey Networks is working closely with the Global Peace Initiative for Women and its delegation to the climate change summit in Copenhagen by providing daily video updates of the Summit (with embedded You Tube and Face Book codes). We will focus exclusively on faith and interfaith leaders and organizations worldwide.

Because you are a delegate, we assume your organization would like to receive these daily video updates for your Web site and/or to send to your network, all at no cost to you. Please review the detailed information below my signature and “Reply All” to this message by November 30 with the name(s) and email address(es) of the people whom you want to receive these videos. We have the name of Godfrey Nteza as the contact person for your center, but we do not have his email address. It would be great if you, or one of your colleagues could also let us know how you think you’ll use the videos and the number of people they might reach.

Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or comments.

Warmest regards,

Lynn

Odyssey Networks Reports: Faith at the Summit

Dear Environmental Justice Leader:

Climate change and environmental justice are issues that threaten the peace and security of the whole planet.

Odyssey will bring you news from the Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen from December 7 through December 14 with a special opening on Dec 2 and a wrap-up from London on December 18. Our team will focus exclusively on the faith leaders and organizations that will be there working for climate justice. Our video coverage will include interviews with major leaders from virtually all the world’s faith communities: the Archbishop of Canterbury, Bartholomew I (The Green Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox Church), Dr. Michael Kagan (Jewish Climate Initiative), Sister Joan Chittister, Venerable Bhikku Buddharakkhita (Ugandan Buddhist Center), Richard Cizik (New Evangelicals), and more.

Because the Copenhagen Summit is so important, we want to share highlights of our daily video coverage with a select group of organizations that are also interested in climate justice.

These 2-minute video highlights will be free to you to use in whatever way you think would keep your constituents involved and informed.

We’ll capture all the important interfaith events and talk with notables and delegates about how the world’s faith leaders are getting their message to the world’s political leaders, and the action they are taking to address climate change. Coverage will also include video diaries from members of many youth organizations and from climate refugees -- the first human witnesses to the consequences of global warming.

Odyssey will post this footage on our website—9 minutes of new video each day. We will release 2 minutes of video highlights daily to organizations that wish to receive them.   And your Web site visitors will be able to access the entire report easily if you’d like to post an Odyssey link on your site (www.odysseynetworks.org).

Please let us know if you wish to receive these daily highlights, by replying to this email by November 30 with the name(s) and email address(es) for everyone who should receive the Copenhagen video updates from your organization.

…and stay tuned for more to come from Odyssey Networks and its membership on climate change and environmental justice in 2010.

Yours in peace,

Odyssey Networks
