IATM is a registered civil society organization (with NGO Board) of performing artists, and individuals joining efforts to curb corruption. Founded in 1997, the IATM programme in Uganda took root in 1999 after a decision that every country develops national programme.

THE MISSION: To contribute to building of a conscious, caring and active citizenry that respects and practices democratic principles and denounces corruption for the improvement of their livelihood
Goal for the next five years: Increased community activism in influencing the democratization process; improved efficiency and effectiveness in delivery of social services
Job Purpose:
To provide strategic leadership and direction to IATM and guide its development towards the achievement of its mission and requirement of its mandate, in accordance with established policies and expectations.
Tasks
1) Provide strategic leadership for IATM and its partners;
2) Promote, represent and communicate IATM vision, mission and values;
3) Build and effectively participate in national and international networks that promote IATM goals and objectives;
4) Fundraise and grow substantively the organisation’s turn over
5) Manage resources for effective implementation of IATM programmes
6) Coordinate IATM’s programmes with those of its national and international associates and partners with the aim of making the organisation’s presence more felt
7) Act as the organisation’s mouth piece
Main Responsibilities:
1. Identify new development partners and carry out rigorous fundraising drive for the organisation.
2. Develop, implement and continuously advise on review of organisational policies, strategies and coordinate all programme activities for progressive achievement of IATM’s mission and objectives.
3. Ensure timely implementation of programme activities and coordinate the submission of quality progress and annual reports to the board, development partners and relevant stakeholders.
4. As an accounting officer to ensure effective accountability and overall efficient use of all resources and develop, supervise and conduct regular staff performance appraisals.
5. To uphold the positive image and value of IATM and promote the cause of good governance and accountability by keeping abreast of developments in the field relevant to IATM’s mission and objectives through networking, collaboration and information sharing with other NGO’s, Government, Donors and other development partners.
6. To ensure that organizational policies, directives and decisions of the Board of Directors are fully implemented.
Requirements for Applicants
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, Education, Law or any related field.
· Proven programme development capacity, implementation and fundraising experience.
· At least five (5) year’s working experience in management or leadership position in a national or international organization preferably civil society in the realm of governance or human rights.
· Demonstrated experience in project management, organizational development (policy and strategy management, organizational learning, resource mobilization, financial management is essential.
· Proven ability in team building and staff management; demonstrated ability to work independently, result oriented and with ability to solve problems creatively.
· Strong ability to lead, supervise and inspire others with good interpersonal and teambuilding skills
· Ability to relate and engage stakeholders at a strategic level
· Good understanding of civil society advocacy and developmental trends in Uganda and beyond
· Strong ability to negotiate and broker inter-organizational relationships
· Strong familiarity with governance issues in Uganda and beyond
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
