I was chatting with Ken on facebook, not long ago, about ladies and
videogames and so his death came as a shock to me. I could not believe
it! I hope we can all honor him by helping organise a Kenneth Ouma
Memorial Chess Tournament every year, starting with 2010. What do you
all think about that???

Gosh. Must I always come in to interpret?
By 'rained on', he really means that FM was beaten by Kenno. Don't you
remember that infamous win? I think Kenno even garnered the USPA chess
player award that year ;-)
Even now, I'm not sure FM is sufficiently over that loss ;-)

Sorry, your highness. Sometimes I forget that I am half gum, and that
I am supposed to stick to the point.
Kenno's death came as a huge shock. I was doing some late night
surfing and happened to log onto the Kenya Chess Forum website. There,
I found a post by Harold saying something about Kenno being dead. I
logged onto Facebook and confirmed it from Ivy's post.
Kenno was a very cool, very straight-to-the-point sort of bloke. He'd
call me up and we'd yap for ages. In restrospect, I should have known
something was wrong because for about a month prior to his death, he
hadn't been in touch, which was very unusual of him.
I think I'm still in denial, and perhaps will always be. I half expect
him to call me up very soon. I'm down for a memorial tourney. For
sure, I will play. Let's have a ladies blitz category too. I'll start
brushing up on my crappy chess skills.

Wama assure him. That FM station seems to have forgotten that I was
once under-twenty third place material. My chess skills are not too
shabby ;-)
