Roadmap: UFS files

Hi all—

For some upcoming work on Ghostlines, I'd like to take advantage of the proposed UFS format to link together a number of UFOs in a standards-compliant manner.

However, the specific part of the format—the temporarily-named "documents.plist"—is probably where this information should be stored, and it remains the biggest open question about the format. Besides the name, there are two pretty different formats for this file and I'd hesitate to invest in either without some additional information from the community.

Has anyone started implementing UFS support? Are there real-world examples for how specific use-cases might use this file?

I would happily guinea-pig this format to push the implementation forward.
