Introduction to the UFO Collective List

The UFO Collective List is an email discussion List, with an online public archive. Hopefully, the public archive will reduce some of the time wasted with the rampant reinvention of the wheel within UFO research. 

This List was established following the demise of the UfoUpdates List that was moderated by Errol Bruce-Knapp between 2006 and 2013.

The focus of this List will be the discussion by members of available resources, particularly primary source material and digitised documentation/publications. 

Some of the resources will have been written by very skeptical researchers, some will be have been written by rather credulous researchers. By making a range of resources available to all, it is hoped that the overall quality of UFO research can be improved a little.

The List is moderated (currently by Isaac Koi) with the objective of avoiding most nastiness, off-topic messages and spam.

A subscription does not automatically mean a message you submit for posting will appear on the List.

The UFO Collective List is a free service - you pay nothing. In return, if you do choose to post to the List, you are asked to abide by the following:

1. Comply with the Golden Rule : "post unto others, as you would have them post unto you". Messages that contain what the Moderator considers to be profanity, personal attacks or 'flames' will not be posted to the List. Any disagreements must be kept civil.

2. Before sending your post, consider if that post could do more to more to help inform the reader or provide relevant resources. 

3. _Always_ quote from the message to which you are responding. Quotes should come _before_ the text of your response.  Keep quoted material from previous messages to a minimum: Just quote enough text to let people know what you are referring to. Messages that do not conform to the required quoting protocol or contain excessive quoting will not be posted to the List.

I'm stumbling around here. In this post, Google tells me that 2 posts have been deleted, and I'm not sure if that's in my display or the thread. If I did that by accident, my apologies. 

The real reason for this post is to announce that I finally found the place to adjust email preferences, up near the top right corner. The little gizmo looks like this:

So, now all I need is to post a friendly response and I'll know if it worked!

Its okay, Curt. I'm having issues as well. Like if you send a new email it does not get posted as a separate thread but gets shoved into another topic. I really don't understand that.
