Transient flashes in ’50s sky plates still puzzle scientists.

These flashes occurred before Sputnik I was launched in 1957. There seems to be a correlation of these
transient flashes the day after ground burst nuclear tests and unknowns reflecting sunlight in apparent
geosynchronous orbits.
