Scientifically Exploring UAP in the Age of Scientism () Roswell Daily Record Having attended this year's Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies (SCU) conference, Kevin Wright pleads for a truly more rational approach to ufology. He defines "scientism" as "the belief—or new religion—that science is the ultimate authority on all aspects of life and reality." It's another example of the intellectual hubris that not only, as Dr. J. Allen Hynek noted will be poorly-regarded by "future" science, is already being confounded by discoveries in quantum physics and other disciplines. As long as groups like SCU continue to sell their purported science-based souls to the public relations devil through leaning on figures like Ross Coulthart, they will doom themselves to one step forward, two steps back. Such actions are aptly recognized by unbiased individuals as indicators of incompetence and/or poorly conceived public relations ploys, neither of which instill confidence or respect.
Ya want science and reliability? Don’t promote unreliable narrators.

Hi Jack,
It has been well exposed that many or most of the members of the SCU are unscientific clods and UFO zealots cosplaying as professors of saucerology.
Our group on the Puerto Rico case clearly showed how their unpleasant little steaming teapot of a main investigator was biased, and hopelessly over his head. They NEVER had any response to our work (or the work of several other independent investigators) other than hand waving and actively hiding from discussion like frightened little children.
Their choice of a complete fraud and sham as a speaker is par for the course. It's just birds of a feather.
