Josh attended last uFlash meeting (great presentation Tom!) and announced IGDA's Global Game Jam. There are already a few of us planning to attend - details below.

Global Game Jam is just over a week away and things are coming
together very smoothly for the event!


New details are posted at the site:

Some of the updates include:
We are getting some meals sponsored (thank you NinjaBee, Utah Geek
Events, and BEAU!)!
We are adding a side event for costume makers and crafters:

There is going to be a bit more space and a fridge along with the
microwave available to use this year!
Updated schedule is posted!


If you would like to help out, we are still looking for volunteers to
help set up and take down, and also we need help posting flyers and
seeking sponsors.  Feel free to post the attached flyer wherever you
think interested people would see it.  If you have questions about

If you already know you are coming for Global Game Jam, feel free to
register ahead of time:
Make an account if you don't already have one, and then in your
profile set your site to the IGDA Salt Lake City site.
They have a nice handy link now too- create your account, log in, go
to the IGDA Salt Lake City site
(http://globalgamejam.org/sites/2013/igda-salt-lake-city), then on the
right, click the big bold link "register for IGDA Salt Lake City"
which takes you to your profile page with the site selected for you,
so you can just scroll down, select your skills, and hit Save.  That's
it!

Everyone that wants to participate will be expected to do this at the
event at the latest, since it is required before you can upload your
game project to the website.


Finally, an update from GGJ HQ:

We are happy to announce that Erin Robinson and Bret Victor will be
joining us as keynote speakers for the 2013 Global Game Jam. Erin
Robinson is an award winning indie game designer. You can read more

Since the keynote will not be released for a while, we have prepared a
