Hi Group,

We have a Group Meeting coming up! Tom Beatty will be presenting on Stage3D, Starling and related topics. And I will also be presenting on Game Architecture.

Rain Offices Thursday, Nov 29th, 7:00pm
686 East 110 South
American Fork, UT 84003

Overall it should be a pretty fun evening. I'm working to get another Unity Engine preso lined up for December so stay tuned.

User Group

Along these lines, what are your thoughts on officially transitioning to an Adobe Game Dev User Group, vs Flash, Web Technology, Mobile Technology or other? Or are there any gaps in the local groups that you feel uFlash would be best to fill?

I'll cast my vote early: Games. It's what I'm personally most interested in and it's what I want to do. However there are already Utah Game groups, HTML5/JS groups, etc, so I'm not sure we can fill something that isn't already being filled (except that we're Adobe sponsored vs IGDA/other). If no one cares either way then maybe it's time to retire the legacy.

I'm fine with the transition to a Game dev user group, seeing how Adobe's only promoting games, analytics, and video.

Speaking of the new Adobe building, when do we get to peak inside? Aren't they open yet? It would fun to have a meeting there as a grand opening. :-)

I'm happy with the idea of transitioning to Adobe Game Dev but would be fine with not doing it as well.

So, we have to change our name to Dynamic Interactive Game Developer Users Group (DIGDUG)... Sorry, had to be done :)
