Following our 2nd spring GBM will be reverse big/little week; this means roles are switched! Littles go grab your bigs and treat them during our big/little week. The schedule for the week goes as follows:

Friday: Movie night/Gator Nights
Saturday: Volunteering with Guardian Angels

Concessioning
Did you miss bonding with your fellow HEALers at football concessioning? Well, you're in luck! HEAL will be concessioning games once again this semester. Come concession at fun games such as volleyball and basketball. Keep an eye out on Facebook and listserves for more information.

Medical forum
Interested in finding out more about medical school and the application process? The Hispanic Medical Student Association at UF COM will be hosting a Medical Student Forum on February 11th. First and second years will share their personal experiences and answer all your questions! The Panel will cover undergraduate resources for community service, information about research, the application process and the best ways to prepare for the MCAT. All students interested in medicine are welcome to attend!

Mayo Clinic Summer Lab Science Program
The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology is accepting applications for the 2013 Summer Laboratory Science Program throughThursday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. CST. Seventeen students will be hired into the program in 2013. The program begins on Monday, June 3, and ends Friday, Aug. 9. Participants spend those 10 weeks working in a Rochester laboratory. Students are accepted from across the nation. The assignments are full time, 40 hours per week, at an approximate wage of $14 per hour.
The Summer Laboratory Science Program program enables individuals who have completed their junior year in college and are majoring in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, microbiology, molecular biology or molecular genetics to explore career options and gain experience in the clinical laboratory environment.
