Greg,
I created a new link token file after installing ufg9.2.2. but the
last line that has the prefix "x" is not there. I removed and
reinstalled the program a couple of times, deleted the text file to
past on the eduneer site, but still no last line with an "X" prefix.

You can create a link token file by selecting the ufg application's
classification list's 'select/create link token file' menu item.
However, that link token file will not have the link token (i.e., the
line of text start with an X) in it until you

-- submit the link token file to http://eduneer.com/ssl/form/token.html,
and
-- copy the server created link token (or the whole link token file)
back to your SD card's link token file.

After your link token file actually has a link token, the ufg
application's classification list's 'select/link' menu item is able to
link to the free topic text.

P.S., this whole link token process will be much simpler on Android
devices.

I uploaded the file I tried to use on the token verification part of
eduneer.com I got an invalid checksum error (the same as in the
original post)

I'm not sure what you mean by the token verification part of
eduneer.com, but I'm able to use the link token created by
http://eduneer.com/ssl/form/token.html.

If you are still having problems, post to the Files section of this
group:

-- a copy of your link token file as initially created by ufg, and
-- a copy of your link token file with the appended link token.

Greg,
I posted my file from my card at K:\ufg\TOKEN\link\bird.2009-09-16 to the
files section. After pasting the file contents to
https://p8.secure.hostingprod.com/@eduneer.com/ssl/form/token.html I got an
error: "The submitted link token file appears to have an incorrect
checksum."

Hi Chris,

Is it possible that the text was altered from what was generated by
the 'select/create link token file' menu item? (I typically open the
generated link token file with the Notepad application and use the
'edit/select all' and the 'edit/copy' menu items before pasting the
text into the form at http://eduneer.com/ssl/form/token.html.)

Greg
The "select all" worked. I guess it needed the extra line "return" with no
data.
Thanks,

Hi Chris,

Thanks for reporting the problem. It was my intent to ignore white
space when calculating the checksum. Sometime in the next couple of
days, I'll check to see if the implementation is doing that.
