problem with SI... I am getting a Fatal Error Alert
DataMgr.c,Line:1144, Index out of Range
I suspect somehow my SD card got corrupted (probably by moving back
and forth to upload to eBird).
But ...what I have done....
Can not get to SI to recompile, the error comes up when SI is selected
from the UFG, or any path to use SI. Using the guide seems ok tho.
so, I deleted the Sighting and Report files from the SD card.
(folders still in place..just empty). hoping that would eradicate the
index conflict. It did not.
so I went to get the SI installer from WWW.Eduneer.com.
I can not open it. Is it possible that the file is not compatible
with Windows 7? (or the interface with the installer)
I copied the SI installer prc file to the palm folder on the palm
and not recognized there.
So I must have missed a step somewhere??? I did review the UFG
manual.
But the Tangled video was interesting to watch!!
Any, suggestions to get SI repaired on the Palm?
Thanks

It is also pretty painless to delete and reinstall the UFG and SI
applications. If you decide to do that, reinstall UFG first (because
SI depends on some of UFG's databases).
Alternatively, you can wait for the release of Tangled.

Does that error sound like a corrupted file to you?
how about just re-install SI over existing? what have I missed in
getting SI-Installer v 9.10.1 onto the Palm.
On the alternative....if I did not use ufg and SI daily I would
wait...but I am addicted. Can not imagine what I did when I did this
all manually!

Thanks..i'll give it a go.

Nope...even after removing and reinstall the ufg and si application
the ufg works, but si still has fatal flaw.
My thinking is to reformat the sd card as you suggested. means staring
from scratch and re-downloading birds-of -America etc because the SD
would be blank. (Cause I have new computer..the other crashed and I
lost access to all hard disk data...recovering data....etc. I now
have storage on removable disk...but that is after the fact).
So looks like I am pretty much at wait for Tangled??!!
dang..back to manual work.

If you are sure your SD card is corrupted, I haven't tried it
recently, but the design intent is for ufg and SI to run without the
multimedia. So that might be another option for you.
