Tangled field guide application released

The main differences from UFG is that Tangled has
-- the latest AOU checklist (supplement 50)
-- better sorting capabilities
-- easier access to check projection capabilities (now accessed via
icons rather than menus)
-- an ecology list able to project checks between field guide topics
Concerning the Species Inventory (SI) application, the name is
changing from SI to TS (Tangled Sightings) but TS will use the same
sighting files that SI created. I plan to release TS in two or three
days.
Concerning the topic text, all the available topics are zipped
together and available at
http://eduneer.com/tangled/tangled_text_2010_03_1.zip
Concerning the multimedia, you can use the UFG multimedia if you
change the directory name from "/ufg/birds_of_North_America" to "/
tangled/birds_of_NA". However, due to the name changes in the latest
AOU checklist, 19 photographs and 13 recordings that were available in
the UFG multimedia will not link with the Tangled application unless
you download an update to the Tangled multimedia. The definitive

Installation instructions:
-- delete the UFG application (using the Palm OS 'App/Delete' menu
item)
-- change the multimedia directory names (as described above) or order
and download an update to the Tangled multimedia
-- unzip the topic text to your SD card
-- run the tangled-Installer.prc application
