Hi John,

Have you read section 1.2 of the manual (at http://eduneer.com/ufg/ufgpau.pdf)
that describes the user interface icons?

Greg...

i have downloaded the update and installed ufg to my SD card.

the only thing that seems to work is audio... i can't get any
pictures. i have looked in the UFG docs and found nothing that says
"do this to view photos"???

on my palm E2 "desktop" there is a icon for "check mark &SI" a
UFG
start and A big U,field guide.

they all do something when selected... is there one that is the
proper one to start the BNA app.

Greg...

yes i have read 1.2 in the manual... top to bottom, and sideways.

if i select audio, and then select a bird from the list, i get the
audio for that bird.

if i select photo, and then select a bird from the list, i get
nothing... there is nothing that i can select on the palm E2 screen
that will show a photo.

something must be missing...

When you say that you "select photo," I assume that means you are
switching to the photo list (as opposed to selecting the 'P' icon
after highlighting a species in the classification list). The photo
list should not be empty unless, like you suggested, something is
missing. Have you looked at the contents of your SD card's /ufg/
birds_of_North_America/multimedia/photo/320x320 directory to ensure
that you successfully copied the photos to your SD card?

Just to check, is the full path /ufg/birds_of_North_America/multimedia/
photo/320x320 ? (In your screen shot, I didn't see the /ufg.)

Another thing to check is the link report in your SD card's /ufg/
birds_of_North_America/admin/link.txt file. Please post that file to
this group's File section (as opposed to attaching it your email ...
as a courtesy to those receiving this group's messages by email).

Hi John,

Typically, the link.txt file gets created by the ufg application when
you select the classification list's 'select/link' menu item as
described in the setup overview at http://eduneer.com and in the user
manual at http://eduneer.com/ufg/ufgpau.pdf.
