Hey fellow TaLiN study group folks:
We will finally meet to discuss Making a New Deal by Lizabeth Cohen
on Thursday February 17, 5-7pm, room 203, Science Park High School.
We are reading the entire thing for that day and will discuss it from
start to finish. If you haven't started reading the second half yet,
have fun. The second half really shows how working people "made"
a new deal for themselves and reimagined their expectations of
government. (guiding questions are attached)
This will fit PERFECTLY with our third and final reading for the year,
An Injury to All by Kim Moody! (sometimes I think I'd make a pretty
good teacher, he he). For those of us interested in unions, and working
to reimagine our own, these books are immensely valuable!
Can't wait for the 17th. See you all then.
