Involvement Opportunities

1.Boston College Study Participation: We would like to invite you to participate in our study which focuses on Asian Indians' views about men and women, views about and experiences with gender and sexual violence, and about living in the United States.  I invite you to participate if you:

-          Are 18 years or older

-          Are of Asian Indian descent (either born in the U.S. or born outside the U.S.)

-          Are fluent in English (Survey is administered in English)

-          Currently live in the United States

Your participation in this study will involve the completion of several questionnaires related to background information, your perspectives about living in the United States and about men, women, and sexual violence.  These questionnaires can be completed online via Qualtrics and should take you about 20-25 minutes to complete.  At the end of your participation, you will be given the option to participate in a raffle for a $75 gift card to Amazon.com. If you are interested in participating in this study, you can access the survey at the following web address: https://bclynch.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_eFqn2yiprqkWh9iIf you have any questions concerning this research study, please contact me at tumm...@bc.edu or (617) 552-4491.

2.AASA 2014 Applications: The Asian American Student Assembly (AASA) displays the diversity and talent of the Asian American Student Union and its cultural and professional subgroups. With an intriguing mix of skits, videos and performances, AASA entertains and informs freshmen about available resources. AASA is the largest show put on by the Asian American community at UF and serves largely as the catalyst for the forthcoming school year. If you are interested in being a director for AASA 2014, please don't hesitate to apply here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Xpu02DiTpbUQCpuvEwUMaRdbRnq-fJSwZWWqD4G3HFs/viewform. Applications are due Sunday March 9th at 11:59pm.

3.AASU's Relay for Life Team:The Philanthropy that we have decided to sponsor for this year's AASU Week is that of Relay for Life. Relay for Life is an Nationally-Acclaimed event hosted across the US by the American Cancer Society, and AASU is making a team for this event! If you would like to join our team (or simply support the efforts of the American Cancer Society), please feel free to donate to the team here: http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLCY14FL?team_id=1569519&pg=team&fr_id=56863 . If you have any questions about our involvement in Relay for Life this year, or how you can get involved, please feel free to contact our Service Chair, Wenyi Zhong, at servic...@gmail.com
