Involvement Opportunities

1. FLP Class IX Director Applications: The Freshman Leadership Program Directors serve as chairs under the Asian American Student Union. Directors serve primarily as the Freshmen liaisons for AASU as well as the overall face of AASU to the incoming Freshman class. Typical tasks include networking within AASU sub-organizations and with other student involvement groups. If you are interested in leading the new class of freshman, applications will be due this friday, the 4th, at 11:59PM. 2. AKM 2014: Executive Board: Asian Kaleidoscope Month (AKM) is a celebration of Asian & Asian American culture, history, and heritage during the month of October. Through its educational and innovative programming, AKM aims to inspire the University of Florida and Gainesville community to embrace the Asian & Asian American culture. If you would like to be part of planning this great month of events, Applications will be due Sunday April 8th, 2014 at 11:59PM. applicants will be notified of their interview times by Wednesday night. Interviews will be held on Thursday, April 10th, and Friday, April 11th. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Executive Director Alice Zhang at kaleidoscope.month@gmail.com. 3. SERCAAL Volunteers: SERCAAL is currently looking for dedicated volunteers in the Spring 2014 semester. We are searching for individuals who would like gain experience within the areas of finance, marketing and programming.
