Good evening. I hope you all have an eventful weekend. Even though the year is slowly coming to an end, the excitement isn't ending any time soon. From AASU Week to SERCAAL to CASA's big events, they're all coming up within these next few weeks. See you at the events!

1. CASA 6th GBM (Nomination): The CACAs

The Chinese American Contribution Awards or CACAs aim to celebrate Chinese American contribution and influence in American media from outlets like film, television, and even Youtube. Join CASA as we recognize these outstanding individuals, some you might already know, some you might not have even heard of. Later in the meeting, you will get the chance to nominate your own candidates for the next CASA executive board who will, in their own ways, promote and spread awareness about Chinese culture on the UF campus. And afterward, we will also be hosting a brief officer meet and greet for all those interested in an officer position.
*** Please note that only active members may be nominated and eligible to run for a position. Check the master attendance sheet for eligibility before nomination and election.

Date & Time: Tuesday, 03/25; 6 PM
Location: Weil 270

2. CASA + aKDPhi present: Night Market of Asia

Imagine a night market in Asia! Oh, you don't know what a night market is? It is exactly what it sounds like. It is an open-air street market gathering at night (obviously) dedicated to leisure, shopping, and eating. This year, CASA will team up with the sisters of aKDPhi to bring to you an authentic night market of Asia featuring the food of China and five lesser known Asian nations - Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Laos, Bahrain, and Bhutan. Come try something new and a have a taste of six very different cultures that I'm sure not a lot of you have been able to do before. If that's not a good enough incentive, all proceeds from this event will go to The Grace Children Foundation, an organization working to improve the lives of orphaned and disadvantaged children in China. With an open heart, mind, and taste bud, I hope you can join us for a night of good food and good time, all to help a good cause.
